Is Gopi mentally challenged?

I think Gopi is not only illiterate..looks like she is mentally challenged also...understand that she is not confident coz of her illiteracy..but height of it, can't she understand Rashi's intentions even after the repeated interference and its results. At school, she gets scared of the small children.can't she smile at them.For God's sake when will she stop her confused expressions. she is damn scared of everything.i think she is the weakessst heroine of the serials so far...cv's don't kill us..

To be mentally challenged is to be below average based on the bell curve.

Totally agree with you Yuks, after years of physical, mental and emotional abuse, it's going to be really hard to just forget everything that had been instilled in her for the majority of her life

She has faced nothing but verbal abuse and some kind of mental torture from her mami and cousin for years.
That in itself is enough to break someone's confidence forever and make them a bit of an emotional cripple

Gopi likes to please everyone, a trait her Mami installed in her.
She is clingly, because she needs the love and approval of other people, because she hasn't gotten any since she was little
She has been kept at home all the time, not allowed to go anywhere or do anything, so she is a little afraid of outsiders or strange new situations

She has been conditioned by her mami to be like this since childhood

I think Gopi needs to go for counseling and see a professional. She definitly seems stupid to me because she is old but acts like kids but then she is sooo good at house chores and making a house run. I think she is just confused she has no one to love her without expecting something from her. She needs someone to love her unconditionally for who she is and support her and then she will get confidence. Even Koki doesnt love her. She just wants her Gopi Vahu to be perfect so she could show her off and put Rashi and hetal down. Every little thing she does wrong she gets punished. i wish Hetal was her MIL because she would be like her mother and would make her more mature. Gopi is 20+ but she has the mind of a child. She would have been much better if she was married to someone who was middle-class but loved her.

I agree with Yuks, and gopi's husband is a jerk also , when they first got married koki was not nice to gopi if you remember. it was ba that loves gopi gor gopi...it used to piss of koki.

I don't mean it literally..its just an extreme expression of my frustration over Gopi's illiteracy and lack of confidence issue...whatever it is I feel, a woman has some inner strength to face the situation. Everyone is blessed with a bit of common sense and should apply appropriately...she should learn soome things naturally .Listening to Rashi what she has gained..what she has lost..can't she analyse these things .ok folks...what is the point in discussing this over and over..cv's have decided to prolong this for many more years I think..
