Why go through all the schools?

Why not just find a evening course in literacy at a local college or at an womans organisation? There must be places that do them.

In the UK there have adult colleges for adults who want to learn basic numeracy and literacy (but that's not only what they teach, lots of other skills are taught there), and thinking about developing countries where illiteracy is high, I think they have programs for adults but it's together with kids studying in the same class or if you have money you get the tutor to come to your house to teach.

I think it's because of where it is, India might not have adult colleges, like for example the UK does. No doubt they are thousands of colleges in India but they are offering academic qualifications, like degrees only.

I know in the UK we have tonnes of courses for adults to improves their reading/writing and maths skills or even learning how to use the internet and computer, whether its the colleges, community centre or even the local library . It a shame there nothing much like this over there but I guess money talks.

That would be a better idea than a tutor or school

Its a sham for all the adults that want to learn but never had a chance when they were young and no proper organisation in place for them to go and achive their goal

I think the main point is being missed here. I do want Gopi to be completely educated. But can't anyone at the Modi pariwaar teach her the basic alphabet and numbers? counting? Any one in the household can teach her stuff at least through 6th grade. I am trying to recall my 6th grade, math wasn't complicated, english was simple, science was basic. I don't see a problem. I just think the Modi pariwaar is approaching this problem retardedly.

😆 it's the Mad Modi's remember they are all retarded.

Probably they can teach her the basic stuff alphabet, numbers and addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, 1st and 2nd Grade stuff, but 6th grade might be pushing it, as we were learning history and Algebra in 6th grade. But they can do the basics for her, and she might be content with 1st and 2nd Grade knowledge to get by on, but the Modi's being a wealthy family want her to get the best, taught by people that are trained and make a living teaching these subjects.
