Gopi Bahu explores Switzerland-Article

Gopi bahu aka Jiaa Manek of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya can't stop raving about Switzerland and its people. The actress, who had gone to the beautiful country for 10 days to shoot for a sequence of the show, says, "This was the first time I visited Switzerland and it was a wonderful experience." Jiah says that the last time she went abroad was for the Star Parivaar Awards that happened in Macau. But she adds that people from that country were not as warm as the people from Swiss. She says, "Swiss people are so polite and welcoming. They were fascinated by our culture. While we were shooting they were curious to know about Indian saris. They also asked me about the mangal sutra, the bindi and the sindoor and I was more than happy to tell them about all these things." However, Jiah is sad that she didn't get anytime to explore Switzerland as she had to shoot for almost 18 to 20 hours everyday. The actress also had a tough time while shooting in the extremely cold climate. She says, "Though it was spring when we had gone there, we still felt very cold. I had to wear two T-shirts, a pair of jeans, stockings and socks underneath my sari and a woolen jacket over it ." The petite actress, however, shopped to her heart's content in the beautiful country. She says excitedly, "I bought chocolates worth Rs 13,000 as Switzerland is best known for her its chocolates. Then I also spent a lot on clothes for my mom and dad. I also bought the famous Swiss bells and key chains for my friends."
