First let me thank everyone for liking the short story, and the wonderful comments.

I am no good at thanking individually so pleas accept my thank you here.

Second I just want you guys to know this is all my imagination and wishful thinking. I have taken some things from the show and some comments made on the forum and used them here and there, so don't be surprised if you see your comments or predictions for the show.

Part 2

Ahem had hard time concentrating on his meeting, all he kept hearing hi his head over and over was Gopi's little speech about leaving.

How will that effect his mother?

Are you serious Ahem Modi? That's all you can come up with, how it will effect your mother. What about you? No matter how much you deny or try to fight it, you know you care for that girl. And what about Gopi? don't you think she has suffered enough already, thru no fault of hers.

No, I don't, I only care because my mom likes her.

Yeah right! That's why you were so caring towards her at Diwali, for that matter just few days ago on your birthday when she burnt her finger. What about the looks you give her when you think no one is looking.

That shut Ahem up.

Ahem looked up to see Jigar giving him a strange look, he decided to forget everything for now and concentrate on the meeting.

Koki and Gopi had caught up with Rashi after resting for a while.

Rashi had pulled Gopi to the side and immediately scolded Gopi for coming and bringing Koki with her on the trip.

She accused Gopi of purposely trying to ruin Rashi happiness because Gopi was jealous of her and her marriage.

When Gopi questioned her about why she would do that, Rashi grabbed her arm and pushed her away from her and said, Gopi was jealous because Ahemji didn't love her like Jigarji loved her.

Half of the things Rashi was saying was not making any sense at all. Only thing she knew was now Kagdi was there and she was not going to able to wear her jeans, she won't be able to hold Jigarji's hand like the english people, and worst of all she won't be able to shop like she wants to. She is sure Kagdi will follow her everywhere and stop her from spending precious Modi money.

Gopi knew Rashi was saying all those things with intentions of hurting her feelings, and realized no matter how much she does or will do for Rashi and her Mami, they will never change, never love her, just like Ahemji.

It was as if a light had gone of in her head, she realized she needed to break ties with her mama's family also, which meant when she leaves, she shouldn't go back at her mama's house.

Maji was right she needed to use her head not let Rashiben and mami get away with everything. When she leaves she is not going to her mama's house, but to a hostel, and use the money she save from her papa's pension to get educated.

Now your are thinking Gopi.

Gopi was startled when she heard her inner voice, it sounded as if maji was talking to her.

Koki had been standing outside her bedroom door and heard part of what Rashi was saying to her Gopi vahu, and she was seething with temper, she wanted to go over and wring the girls neck, but decided to stay silent and keep an eye on Rashi instead.

Meanwhile she needed to take Gopi shopping for some warm jackets and sweaters, she also needed to take Gopi to the parlour and get her hair, nails and make up done like before, and she also needed to instruct Gopi to wear her sari in different style, she won't suggest western wear, because she knew Gopi would be uncomfortable. Her Gopi vahu needed subtle changes in her, not drastic, like Rashi. She pulled her pallu over her shoulder and walked in to the room, making her presence known to Rashi, but not giving away any of her inner thoughts, but if looks could kill, Rashi would be dead on the spot.

Later that night, Koki and Gopi were waiting for Ahem to return so they could go eat in the hotel restaurant.

Koki had taken Gopi to the parlour to give her a new look. She had her hair style changed to same as when she had gotten the first make over, with nail and the make-up same way too. Koki took Gopi shopping for a heavy coat for when they go sight seeing with a matching scarf. She also bought her several different wraps to go with her fancy saris.

She had asked Gopi to dress in the sky blue sari for the night, since it wasn't going to be a fancy dinner, just the family.

Gopi was trying to fasten her bracelet on her wrist when Ahem walked in to the room, seeing him standing there made her more nervous and she dropped the bracelet on the floor.

They both bent down to pick up the bracelet, Ahem reached for it first and picked it up, they both stood up and looked at each other. Gopi held up her hand, palms up. for the bracelet.

Ahem, instead of handing her the bracelet, fastened the bracelet around her wrist, lightly brushing his finger along the soft skin of her wrist. Once he was finished, Gopi quickly pulled her hand back and turned away from him.

Ahem frowned at her bent head, and thought may be hurt her more than ever by refusing to bring her along in the first place.

You think, you idiot, it was bad enough you didn't bring her, made her feel unworthy in front of your family, but you had barley looked at her when you left. How long do you think she would last at that rate.

What a time for his conscience to wake up. He watched Gopi for few more seconds before turning and going toward the closet to get a fresh pair of clothes.

When he came out of the bathroom, wearing white turtle neck sweater and jeans, Gopi had already left the room to join Koki in the living area.

After little while he joined them and left the room to meet up with Rashi and Jigar in the lobby.

As they were going down, he observed Gopi to see how she would react to seeing all the luxury around her, but she surprised him, although she was fascinated, she didn't act crazy like Rashi had when they first arrived. She just quietly looked around with fascinated expression, like when a child discovers something new.

Once they all gathered in the lobby, Ahem once again, couldn't help but compare the two cousins, how different they were, even though Gopi had changed the way she wore her sari and her hair style, she still looked like an traditional indian woman, and Rashi on the other hand was still wearing the western clothes, even though his mom was with them now. He just shook his head at Jigars naivet, and moved the family along towards the restaurant.

Ok friends I think that's enough for today. I really don't know if Ahem made sense to you or not, but he is one confused fellow.

As for how long this story is going to be, I really don't know, I know it will end once the swiss track ends if not before. It all depends on what happens in SNS in next couple of weeks. So enjoy.
