Star Plus' Saathiya Saath Nibhana which is slotted at the 7 PM slot gets to be the #1 serial across all the channels..

Star Plus is now reaping rewards for bravely introducing interesting daily soaps in their early evening band of 7 PM and 7.30 PM. While Ravi Ojha Productions' Sasural Genda Phool climbed up the rating chart few weeks back to reach the #2 slot, Sunrise Production's Saathiya Saath Nibhana which is aired at the 7 PM slot has this week managed to become the Numero Uno show across all channels.

As per today's TVR ratings, SaathiyaSaath Nibhana has emerged as the #1 show across all channels with a TVR of 5.3 with Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai taking the second spot with 4.9 TVR. Star Plus' other early evening show, Sasural Genda Phool is also well placed with a TVR of 4.7.

A source from the sets of Saathiya says, "The cast and crew of the show never expected thatSaathiya… would reach the number one position because the show was slotted at 7:00 P.M slot which was not at all happening for the channel. The credit goes to the audience for identifying the beauty and simplicity of the concept and sticking to it. Today is a great day for the entire team, as Saathiya has grabbed the number one position with 5.3 rating".

We contacted Vishal Singh (Jigar) the protagonist who said, "We are feeling very proud that today our show had reached the number one position in spite of being at the 7:00 PM slot. All credit goes to the women power on our sets; the writers, directors and audience with special reference made this day happen".

Rashmi Sharma, the Producer of the show says, "The whole team is feeling happy for the recognition that we have got today. Though we were not confident about the show becoming such a big a hit, as the Producer and the Creative Director on the show, I expected the show to do well and today, I can say that all our efforts have been successful".

Hope Saathiya Saath Nibhana maintains its ranking!

Saath Nibhaana Saathiya rules the roost Saath Nibhaana Saathiya that is aired on STAR Plus every weeknight at 7 pm, has won a lot of applause from its viewers.

The show had a TRP of 5.3 this week and is currently the number one show on Indian television. Gopi, who plays Jia on the show was ecstatic about the news. "I am thrilled that the show has been rated number 1 across Indian television. I was pleasantly surprised when I came to know about it this week. I am amazed and glad that the audience has been watching our show regularly and that they have welcomed our show and the characters in it. It is wonderful for all of us. We distributed sweets on the sets and the channel will be sending a cake to us. It's a lovely Diwali gift for the cast and the crew of the show," she said. Speaking to us, producer Rashmi Sharma said, "I am delighted that our five-month-old show has become the most viewed show on television. It's a collective team effort and I am proud of the cast and crew for the hard work that they have put in. We will definitely throw a party for the team and we plan on celebrating next week, since most of our actors aren't in town this week." GEC Watch: Six of the top 10 shows are on STAR Plus

Colors gains 18 GRPs and remains in the second spot, while Zee returns to the third spot and Sony slides back to the fourth position

The No.1 channel in the Hindi GEC space, STAR Plus, has gained 12 GRPs over the last week, as per the TAM data (C&S, 4+, HSM). The channel's relative share has increased from 27.2 per cent in Week 43 to 27.6 in Week 44. It has managed to garner 391 GRPs. Six of its shows have made it to the list of Top 10 shows.

Viacom18's channel, Colors, has also maintained its No. 2 position. The channel has gained 18 GRPs and has clocked 268 GRPs. Its relative share has increased from 18 per cent in Week 43 to 18.9 per cent in Week 44. Two of the channel's shows - Uttaran with 4.57 TVR and Balika Vadhu with 4.31 TVR - have made it to the Top 10 list this week.

This week saw Zee TV snatching the No. 3 spot from Sony. The channel managed to gain just one GRP and thus registered 204 GRPs in Week 44; it clocked a relative share of 14.4 per cent, which declined by 0.2 per cent compared to last week. Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta has managed to make it to the Top 10 list in the latest week.

At No. 4, Sony has garnered a relative share of 14.4 per cent, with 191 GRPs. In fact, it has lost 17 GRPs in the current week. Sony's only show to have made it to the Top 10 list is Kaun Banega Crorepati.

SAB has retained its No. 5 position. The channel has gained 10 GRPs, thus registering 128 GRPs in Week 44 with a relative share of 9.1 per cent.

It is followed by Imagine TV, which has recorded a relative share of 7.9 per cent with 111 GRPs, 15 GRPS more than the previous week.

STAR One is at No. 7; the channel saw an increase of 2 GRPs (from 44 in Week 43 to 46 in Week 44). Its relative share has jumped up marginally by 0.1 per cent to 3.2 per cent.

STAR Utsav and Sahara One have garnered relative shares of 1.7 per cent and 1.6 per cent, respectively; while DD1 has managed to register a relative share of 1.4 per cent.

On the list of 10 most watched programmes on Hindi GECs, Saathiya Saath Nibhana (STAR Plus) rules at No. 1, with a TVR of 5.73. It is followed by Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (STAR Plus), with a TVR of 5.24.

Bidayi, also aired on STAR Plus, is the third most watched programme, recording a TVR of 5.15; it is followed by Sasural Genda Phool on STAR Plus at No. 4 with a TVR of 5.11; and Pratigya at No. 5 with a TVR of 5.02.

The other shows on the Top 10 list are Uttaran, Kaun Banega Crorepati, Pavitra Rishta, Diwali Dilo Ki and Balika Vadhu.
