gopi

After watching the show for the past few months I have come to understand certain things about Gopi which I would like to share. Each and every viewer and member of this forum wish to see her happy. We want her to have a good and loving husband like Jigar and a caring mother in law like Hetal. When Gopi suffers we suffer, we she cries we have tears in our eyes, when she smiles we are happy, but when she is submissive we hate her for her cowardice. I have analyzed why Gopi is like this.

Firstly

Gopi is an orphan brainwashed to obey the orders of her mami and cousin whatever it might be. It has been stressed that she is a burden to the family and is treated as a servant. She is deliberately left without education and communication outside the family. Though she is knowledgeable in many practical things she is been forced to think that she is stupid and useless. When you tell a lie a hundred times it becomes the truth. If a lion is brought up with sheep and made to eat grass it will do it. Gopi has been trained to be submissive. So she cannot and does not know to raise her voice.

Next

Whenever gopi is humiliated we want her to leave the mad mansion (modi mansion). We want her to rebel. But do we realize where she will go? To her mama's place? If she goes there her situation will be worse than that in MM. at least she has someone who understands her (koki) and someone to love her(Hetal, Parag: though not openly)

What does she have in her Mama's how? Absolutely nothing.

Even if she leaves the house where will she go? We saw how lost she was during the spa incident. And is it safe for a woman like Gopi to step outside her home and sheltered life? Can anyone like her with no one to turn for help start a fresh life?

Rashi has her mother for support and advice. If Rashi had been slapped and ill treated like Gopi will urmila ben be silent. Unfortunately who does Gopi have for support? Does any one thing she can seek help from an absolute stranger?

Finally

Are there women like Gopi in today's world? My opinion is definitely, not only in India but in most of the countries. Women are physically, emotionally and financially abused. Yet they suffer silently like gopi because society expects them to do so. In this case there is no difference between educated and uneducated women.

At least education will give Gopi self respect and confidence, but a person like her can never stop sacrificing herself for those who love others even though they might be her enemy. Because the highlight of Gopi's character is "to see only the goodness in other"
