What is this ' bahu ' thing

Why r they making such a big deal about giving Kaveri good for once in their life simply coz she is the ' bahurani ' of the house and pregnant ? Does this mean a pregnant woman has the right to behave anyway she chooses and insult elders left right and center ? What for.....just coz she is pregnant ? Or just coz she is the bahurani ? So many times , she has insulted her saas sasur with her caustic tongue like dogs literally .....she shud have been driven out by Samar's parents long ago and they shud have clearly told Samar ....plz leave seperately , we love u , but she is insufferable and we have our self respect . Let us live in our old age in peace , come and visit us once in a while , that is enough . This is really Indian culture ....all about self respect . Not tolerating vile insults from yesterdays youngsters who treat u like trash with smirks and sneers ! What is this bahu bahu nonsense yaar .

I agree with both points and that she has no right pregnent or not pregnent insult her in laws and talk in the manner of talking to a servant.

The way Ambika takes such crap from Kaveri is shameful . It is a shame on woman . First for ' sake of son' then for ' sake of grandchild ' . When r the ' sakes ' ending ?
More than Kaveri , it is women like Ambika who r downright irritating . She is almost immune to Kaveri's rubbish and sits with a perpetual smile on the face as if she is slightly stupid in the head . Just as a bahu shudnt be harassed even elders shudnt be treated this way . If serials like Saat phere r about Indian culture , why r they showing such nonsense is tolerable for so long ? Show that such nonsense can be checked ,.....that old people don't need to live with such sons and bahus as compulsions . They can live a dignified life elsewhere . It is so so infuriating yaar ! Although SAmar is nice , he does know Kaveris nature and he hasnt exactly done anything about his parent's respect .

kaveri doesn't deserve good in-laws...but in real life i've seen that when a girl is good she get's worst in-laws...and when in laws r good the DIL is worst....
