Saat Phere on Zee will see the exit next week of Nahar, at least temporarily. The serial's star will go into coma and not be seen on the show for a few days.
Nahar (played by Sharad Kelkar) will be attacked by his brother-in-law Ranjit. "I will be attacked by Ranjit's men. I insulted him in last week's episodes because of his treatment of my sister Pia," said Sharad, "and for this he is going to take revenge on me. There will be a fight sequence in which I will be beaten up badly and thrown off a bridge. I won't die but will be lost to my family for some time."
The reason this twist was introduced into the serial was because Sharad wanted a break. "I've been shooting for 30 days at a stretch," he said, adding that the toll of not being with his wife Keerti was adding up. The couple is known for their public display of affection.
"In the serial I will be shown in a coma and after that… anything can happen! The audience have to wait and watch."
Rashmi Sharma, the creative head of the serial said: "Nahar will be badly injured in this attack, but he won't die. His being lost will bring in another twist and that is the return of Kuki Kaki (Apara Mehta)."
Nahar's wife on the serial, Saloni (Rajshree Thakur-Vaidya) said: "Nahar is going missing, so again I have to struggle to find my husband. I have many enemies in the serial and though I'm not sure of where the track is headed, I do know that Saloni will be incomplete without Nahar."
