Pune, February 11: Why don't we see serials like Dard and Saans from you anymore?
Please ask this question to the programming heads of the channels. They are the ones who commission work to us. So it's obvious they don't want my kind of serials. Did you submit scripts before?
Yes. For the past three years I had submitted many scripts, all of which were rejected by the channel authorities.

Have you considered returning to films?
No, I don't get good offers even in films. I am a professional actor and so I have to pick roles from whatever is offered to me. Acting or direction—which one did you enjoy more?
Acting, of course. After those few serials, I realised that I was not meant to be a producer or director. They don't interest me anymore. What's keeping you busy, apart from Saat Phere?
I'm taking a break from work. I'm very busy with my daughter who will soon appear for her board exams. I have no other plans and will take things as they come. We heard your daughter Masaba wants to join films. Is it true?
No, no. She has no such intentions. Those were rumours.
