Hi all, I am extremely, extremely, extremely sorry about my previous fanfic... I mean well I stopped writing in it because I was so disappointed with the show... But I decided, I cannot desert it now, not now, not with the changing air and all you guys... I hope you understand. And so to say I am sorry, I am dedicating this new fanfiction to you all. Thanks so much for previous support. Unfortunately, that post got lost, so I have created another. If you like it, I shall continue, please let me know, and once again, SOOOO SORRY!!
Part 1
flashback...somewhere a girl and a boy are running around in a field of beautiful yellow flowers laughing and having fun. the screen flashes and the girl is dancing around a tree under which the boy is sitting playing his flute. as the girl dances she disappears behind a tree and when she is revealed again, she is full grown with her beautiful, long black hair falling in her face and the boy is now standing and grown as well.
present... somewhere a voice is saying, "ab var aur vadhu apna haath agay karen". reality creeps back in. "saloni, saloni aapna haath agay karo". saloni is still living in the past but the voice next to her grows louder and a hand touches her arm and she is forced to face her situation. she is sitting in a dulhan's dark red gown and saji hui, yet her heart is not singing like that of a girl who is getting married. sitting next to her is nahar singh, the man her parents chose for her to marry after... saloni slowly brings her hand forward and lays it on top of nahar's. the ritual is performed. the pandit asks for the two to get up for the "saath phere". with ambika, saloni's mom by her side helping her with her lehnga, saloni gets up, still numb.. lost in her past but somehow in her present.
nahar starts the phere after manno bhabhi ties his scarf and saloni's odhni together, and a flashback is shown, kahin koi larki murti hai, she turns and smiles as her beautiful hair falls over face. she is shy at first but opens her arms and goes running... back in the present, saloni is asked to step forward. saloni is thinking again. flashback in which she is sitting in front of a mirror, getting dressed, shubra is helping. saloni is very happy... the pandit's voice calls her back to the present. pandit, "ab dulha dulhan ko manglasutra pehnay aur auski maang bharday". for the first time the two who are to become one, face each other. nahar looks at saloni and she looks at him, and then she lowers her eyes... kuch baat thi un aankhon mein (she is thinking and its about nahar). nahar brings his arms around her neck and ties the mangalsutra and then slowly brings a chutki bhar sindoor and fills saloni's maang. the movement of his hand seems to indicate the long relationship between the two. song in the background: "koi ye kaisay batay ke woh tanha kyun hai... yehi duniya hai hai to phir, aisi ye duniya kyoon hai... yehi hota hai toh phir aisa ye hota kyun hai... kehtay hai pyaar ka rishtaa hai janam ka rishtaa, hai janam ka jo ye rishtaa to badal tah kyun hai" (jagjit singh gazal -beautiful, check it out).
the newly weds take the elders blessings and congratulations can be heard everywhere. it is time for the bidaai... ambika is crying uncontollably. shubra is too and holds onto ambika trying to comfort her. kaveri is holding ambika's other arm and crying as well (with a true heart). one by one, saloni goes and hugs everyone... she cries. flashback: saloni is with the boy, laughing and they are talking about getting married. the boy says something and saloni gets shy, they hug. all of a sudden the situation changes and red lights flash and there are a lot of noises. presently, saloni turns to get into the car when she hears her name being called by a voice, a very familiar voice she turns and sees the boy arms wide open, smiling. she is surprised and stares. an arm takes hers and she is made to sit in the car. in the car, she turns but now there is no one there. she lowers her face and tears flow through her eyes, tears of sorrow of separation from her parents, her house, her family and him... (chali koyal song in the back)
on the other side of the car sits nahar. in his own thoughts. flashback: girl calls out his name. girl, "nahar, mein tumhare bina nahin reh sakti... hum ek kab honge?". reality, the car is driving, the windows are open and air breathes through as the two look out through both their windows, trying to re-live their pasts but in vain. they both turn and look at each other for the second time. flashback: saloni's house = family room with all members present, and ambika is showing saloni nahar's picture but saloni refuses to look. saloni to everyone, "mujhe aap logon par poora vishwaas hai, jo aap kahengay wohi teekh hoga" she says without emotion and goes to her room and closes the door. she starts to cry uncontrollably and falls to the floor against the wall. present, song "koi ye kaise bataye...". flashback: nahar house = nahar is in his room and bhabho is showing him picture of saloni and he refuses to look and tells her that he is just doing this shaadi for their sake and he has no interest in who the girl is as they would choose a good girl. saying this he leaves and goes to the terrace and looks at the chaand with moist eyes... presently, they reach the singh residence where they are greeted by bhabho doing aarti. all the rituals are completed.
tara, "saloni, nahar, humare yahan rivaaj hai jisme tum dono kuch test paas karna hoga, tayar hojao". she smiles. aditi comes to saloni and takes her by the arm and says, "haan saloni bhabhisa, aur aapko in sab mein paas hona hai". bhabho, "arre kaisay nahin paas hongay, akhir mere bache hain". saloni manages a smile, but the line across her face feels unfamiliar and unreal. suddenly dheer shows up with a camera and asks for a picture of nahar and saloni. they both stand far apart. dheer, "arre naharsa, ye kya??... zara paas toh ayie." and he comes forward and pushes them together. the feeling makes saloni jolt. nahar feels the hurt of reality hit him. dheer looks up from behind the camera and makes a disappointed face. dheer, "ye kya, zaara apna haath choti salaliji ke kandhe par toh rakhiye. aisay toh koi keh hi nahin sakta ke aapki abhi abhi shaadi hui hai... haan ab tohra muskuraiya. bhai, jab humari shaadi hui thi toh hum to bahut muskuray teh, aur... ab baad mein bahut roye theh" he makes a sad face. and aditi glares at him in the "jagay aur mahaul dekh kar boliye kariye ga". dheer, "just joking" and smiles. meanwhile nahar very very hesitantly lifts his arm, without feeling... it lands around saloni's shoulder and she feels as awkward as he. flashback: saloni is standing in her room and shubra comes with a camera. the boy is there too, and inists on a picture. saloni laughs and is shy and refuses, but the guy comes to her and puts his arm on her shoulder and she looks surprised and then looks down all shy. reality, same song by jagjit singh plays as emotions roar inside the two souls...
so what do you think? this story is going to be about how saloni and nahar come together drawn by fate. both have their unknown pasts with uncertain futures. the journey that brings them together is what I will write about. waiting to read what u guys think.
