Anyone seen Rebecca?

If anyone of you have read or seen the movie version of old time classic "Rebecca", you must have noticed the striking similarity (almost bordering on plagiarism) b/w the story line the serial is now adapting and the movie.

Well, the movie is abt how an ordinary english girl marries a handsome and rich duke. he is a widower and his first wife rebecca was known to be astoundingly beautiful and aristocratic.

The girl's initial days of married ecstatcy turns to despair as she realises (or rather thinks) how small she is compared to talent, taste and beauty of Rebecca.

But here too like Nahar, the duke avoids any mention of her. infact wants to hide from her how she died and anything related to her. There is also this scene which APPEARS to be rightaway copied from the movie where the present wife walks down the stairs wearing a gown of previous mistress and the hapless hubby looks bewildered and shocked.

And just in case u r wondering wat happens later......well to cut a long movie short. she was actually a cheater who squandered her hubby's wealth on her ex-lover and was finally murdered in frustration by her husband.

well lets see......if this is how the story proceeds further

oh so it means nahar might kill chandni and that is possibility and our dear saloni "sachai ki murti "truth follower will take nahar to jail oh god i cannot bare this 😭 😭

I have read the novel Rebecca..& i feel the same the story line of saat phere somewhat resemble the story of Rebecca..
REBECCA is one of my favorite novel..If somebody get a chance just read it..The Description of the mansion is amazing..

Also there was an old movie strring Vishawajeet and Wahida Rehman ...it was also base don same novel Rebecca...
there also his first wife is shown of having and affair
and hero is under impression that he killed his wife...but in the end it comes out toi be a maid servant who has killed her

yes, this is the novel that i had mentioned in my post. i didn't remember the name then. thanks for refreshing my memory! :-)
yes, i have seen the Wahida Rehmaan movie on the same theme as well. as for 'Rebecca', the duke's second wife helped uncover the truth that Rebecca had found out that she was terminally ill. she didn't want to die an ill woman and therefore she deliberately provoked her husband to the extent that he killed her.
i'm sure Saloni will help Nahar and establish that he didn't actually kill Chandani...
