Story in brief...

Saat Phere is a story of a girl's struggles against the stigmas forced upon her by society and her quest for her unique identity. Although India has progressed in various fields of technology, science & education, discrimination against women remains the root cause of regression in many societies in India leading to degradation of women.

One such story is that of Saloni, a dark complexioned 24-year-old girl. Saloni's talent is overshadowed by her complexion. Faced with such a situation, Saloni is determined to not let society's will be imposed upon her and ruin her life and has the will, spirit and the courage to embark upon the journey to search for her own unique identity. Yehi hai Saloni ka Safar.

Ep:158 - 25 May 2006, Thursday

As Saloni enters the room, she finds a number of paintings of a girl in white dress. Kookie Kaaki follows her and asks what she is doing Purani deodhi. Saloni questions her about the girl in the painting. First Kookie Kaaki asks Saloni not to ask any questions and return to the party. But when Saloni requests again, she agrees. She unveils a photograph, which has Nahar and a girl in it. Kookie Kaaki tells Saloni that the girl in the picture is Nahar's first wife Chandni. Saloni is shocked. Nahar was studying in Mumbai and one day he writes to Brijesh that he wants to marry Chandni. Brijesh gets angry and asks Nahar to return home immediately. He even fixes Nahar's wedding. Nahar returns, but with his newly married wife Chandni. Brijesh gets angry initially. But family members speak to him and sort the matter. Saloni asks Kookie Kaaki, where Chandni is now. For which she says that she is no more. Saloni continues asking as to how Chandni died, for which Kookie Kaaki says that Nahar would answer her questions. But why did Nahar marry Saloni? Kookie Kaaki says that Chandni was very fair and beautiful. Nahar could not forget her. When the family pressurized him to get married again, he relented and married a dark complexioned girl from a middle class family. Kookie Kaaki asks Saloni to return to the party. Saloni returns, but when she comes down everyone are shocked seeing her new avtaar
