saat phere is doing well in india

it has beaten jassi earlier and now elas in the 9:30 slot in india in which it airs

the tam ratings suggest that it is just behind kkayanjali in the 9:30 slot and ahead of elas of sony which is a flop

star one india calling and sahara one kittu sab jaanti hain have also been termed as flops

Mamta to replace Astitva...?
Okay, so Astitva.. is going off the air in January. The question is which serial will replace it 'cause Zee has two new shows Mamta and Kasam Se ready to be aired. Most likely, Mamta will replace Astitva.... which means another serial has to go to make way for Kasam Se. Looking at the possibilities, Saat Phere aired at 9.30 pm is doing quite well despite the off-screen drama (directors being replaced) while Kam Ya Zyaada has just been launched at 10 pm. Sarrkarr, aired at 8.30 pm, has interesting incidents lined up atleast for the coming eight months, according to its producer Manish Goswami. Though, with Ronit Roy saying he is relieved from the serial, it remains to be seen which way it goes. Challenge 2005 is in the last leg of competition and will come to an end naturally. That however, is a weekend show aired on Thursday-Friday at 9 pm. There's talk that there will be a reshuffling of the primetime shows...

In or out
Ronit Roy says that he is relieved of the Sarrkarr contract but Manish Goswami, producer of the show claims otherwise. "It's just that the current storyline has nothing for him in it, that's why he is out. We haven't relieved him of the contract. When the script demands his presence he will be contacted ," stresses Goswami adding that since the time Ronit's been "absent from the show, the TRPs have risen!"

was 'kashish' the one with sudesh berry and malvika tiwari? oh my god!! that love story was intense. malvika tiwari was a beauty. whatever happened to her?😕

i have not watched 'pachpan khambe' regularly. all i know is that it had mita vashist and introduction of aman verma and then i though aman verma was cute. not any more😆😆😆 i think it was a story of younger man falling for older woman. rt?

To me Kashish, Kareena- Kareena and RINH are the best (though the first two are over). ELAS (Ek Ladki Anjani Se) is also very good - can't imagine why that is a flop. Saat Phere has a good theme but unrealsitic portrayal to some extent with the mom (being from an educated middle class family) hating her daughter's guts just because she is dark and marriage being considered the be all and end all of life when the girl is so educated and talened. And the girl is considered a burden. Don't understand that..

Unfortunately, it happens in real life where moms consider their daughters to be burden. Even though I want to believe that it is farfetched to some extent, but there is some reality in Ambika's role. The way she treats Saloni compared to Shubra and Samar can be seen in real life too.

Thanks for the info, Lalit. I see the trend continues 😛 Lets hope this show doesn't loose its appeal like the others 😆

Agreed, but in this day and age - in educated middle class families where the girl is educated and so are the parents - it is somewhat a rarity, especially such extreme behaviour like the one Ambika exhibits.. It happens sometimes but it is not the norm ..It may be more prevalent among poorer, less educated sections.. The way Saloni's mom Ambika, treats her is so extreme, calling her unlucky, etc and that too only because she is dark and hates her guts because of that..So much so that for a while she was ready to get her daughter married to Kunjan knowing he was an awful guy. I am from a middle class family too and so are many of my friends - and many are dark skinned but have done brilliantly in life - both on the personal and professional front and are no worse off than the lighter skinned people.. In fact that was a non-issue for most of them. I don't mean to say that this problem of skin colour does not exist - it exists all over the world - but I wish the backdrop were more realistic - maybe the time frame could have been 50 years ago or the settings showed a not-so-educated family or something. In fact my mother and I were just discussing this a while ago..

I have heard that Saloni pursues her career with all enthusiasm and does well - I would love to see that happen. Eagerly waiting to see the way her family reacts..

Anyway, these are just my thoughts.. No offence meant to anyone.
