She has stated in sum interview that she landed this role because she is dusky....they dont call it dark but dusky....she has also stated that she has done sum ads for tanishq etc...in that interview she has also stated that Bipasha, kajol etc all belong to the group of Dusky beauties......

Why does it matter if Saloni has a really dark complexion in real life. To the topic opener, are you trying to say that if a woman is dark skinned then she's not beautiful?!

You know i agree with BluePink .........I don't find Saloni pretty or attractive . Nothing to do with her complexion . Some very hot people are dark , the prettiest one being Anu Aggarwal . I wonder if any one remembers her she can in one film ages ago .Ofcoure now Bipasha Basu and so many others .
But Saloni has this too long a face and not very nice features .

Anu Aggarwal is really pretty. Saloni has got nice features but the way she has been dresses up makes her look not so good. Upar se uska muh hamesha latka rahta hai. I have hardly ever seen her smiling or laughing.

Even I think dark should be issue. I don't like her because she looks very old and there is no innocense or charm on her face.
Most of heroines are dark like Rani, Priyanka, Kajol, Bips I can go on and on...
But they looks very attractive and sensual..

I so agree with you ajhaji...its a very sorry state of affairs that even "well educated" indians make such a big deal of the skin complexion..is the colour so much more important than your knowledge,education and character, and for the record fair skin colour is no criteria for beauty, there are tons of stunning dark women, so how does it even matter whether saloni is dark or fair in reel or real life????

Saloni does have some sharp features, but they are more of simplicity. I think her greatest quality is not her face though, it's her inner beauty that matters!
