Saas v/s Bahu faces the fury of the flames

Shocking, but the very expensive sets of Swastik Pictures's reality showcase Saas v/s Bahu faced the fury not from its participants, but a freak fire caused by a technical snag.

Vikas Seth, Managing Partner, Swastik Pictures did admit that it was a technical snag that caused a freak fire. "Everything was going on schedule. We were shooting for the episode and things were on track. But suddenly, we got a whiff of smoke and when we looked up, we were shocked."

A shocked, but now composed Vikas added, "Never in our wildest dreams did we anticipate a fire on the sets. We are very careful and full kudos to my team members who acted with a presence of mind. They broke into groups and started working on safety measures."

Most production houses have stringent safety measures. There is a lot of money involved in erecting expensive sets and the loss we faced today is close to 12 lakhs. It would take us at least three days to get our show back on track. We cannot afford to waste any time. We are a daily show, with an hour's slot. That really makes it difficult for us to take a back seat and iron out details.

I know, it sounds lame to say it was a technical snag, but now, I know it just takes a spark to bring in a catastrophe. And truly, if the fire had spread, it would spell mayhem on the sets of saas v/s bahu.

And Vikas gives full credit to his fantastic team!Unlike other production houses who would pass the buck, the elated producer says, "It is because of my team that my sets are such a safe place."
