Why Nitika do not want to leave her job ?

Nitika is seeing that how fights and argumets are happening in the house due to her work... Her best friend is ready to go through hell just for her, whereas she does nothing, just stand and wait to enjoy the fruit of it...

Why should Nitika leave her job? Give me one reason please!

Who is unhappy or being inconvenient at C-house because of her job? Who has complained about it to whom?

Just 15 days back or so, she wasn't even there in C-house, why is her presence in C-house all so important all of a sudden?

I see the reason why there is less development and progress for women in Indian society...because majority of people (read: women) still believe in and support nani ma's thinking and ways of life.

Please, take no offense. I believe in liberalization, independence and equality of rights for women in any society.

Good topic...I guess everyone should do their bit and no point singling Nitika out. The father to be should be given the opportunity to stand by his wife and do some real work for her.

I don't think that Nani maa has a problem with Nitika's working but has a problem when Nitika come home and she is not helping Toasty with the house work. Most people think that when one works, he or she is given a free pass for not doing any house work. I now lots of ladies who works and when they come back they have to do house work. Some men will help their wives with the work.

So Nitika should continue to work but has to share her responsibilities at home also

Arre, instead of bringing the issue of Nitika leaving her job because Toasty is being bombarded with loads of work, let nani ma help her out or people...think! buy all those appliances that will make Toasty's life easier. Buy her a big size washer-dryer, a gas-range with multiple stoves so she can cook more than 2 things at a time, a chopper, a food-processor, toaster, send clothes out for ironing, if you are so eager to have home-made pickle then do it over the weekend when people are around to help.

Or if none of this sounds good, then let brothers take turn in taking a week off from saree shop to help Toasty at home 😳

I have seen women working until the last week of their pregnancy. In US you get a max of 3 months maternity leave (some only get like 6-8 weeks), so women tend to work as long as they can before delivery so they can spend extra time with new born baby afterwards.

Of course I would like to see Nitika helping Toasty out either in the morning or evening but not due to any dictator's orders.

Its so weird to ask a girl to leave her job once she gets married.. The only thing that needs to be done here is proper work-life balance. Nitika is so lucky that she has Toasty and Ved to support her, Ved is even happy to help Toasty in household chores for making up for his wife, if given a chance (adore him for that). However, someone should help Nitika realize that she should also take some responsibility of house and can help Toasty in small tasks. May be she is just newly married and would learn eventually. There is always a life outside kitchen.
