Written Update: September 12th
Part 1:
Chaturvedi House:
Everyone is getting ready to play antakshari and Sudha asks about how they will split up into teams...Tej says that there will be no teams, each person will play individually. Toasty and Malti overhear in the kitchen and Toasty gets really excited that everyone is playing antakshari and tells Malti to hurry, while picking up a tray with sherbat and glasses and rushing out. They sit down in the group and begin the game. Pitaji tells Sudha that they will be playing as individuals so there won't be anyone to back her up...Sudha says she knows that and asks that he sing in sur...Pitaji asks if that was directed at him only and Sudha says that it was for everyone. Gyaan starts the game by saying the antakshari rhyme and Dadaji is the first one who has to sing and he makes up some song 😆 (I love Dadaji...he's so much more full of life now than he was in the beginning 😃) and everyone looks at him weirdly. Prachin asks him what song this is and that he's never heard it before...Dimple jibes him saying since when does he hear anything...Tej decides to let it go and suggests they move on from the "song" from "ha". It's Pitaji's turn to sing and Sudha starts coughing pointedly and asks him to sing...Pitaji says that he will sing his favorite Kishore Kumar song and sings haa haa hmm hmm...kora kagaz tha yeh mann mera...everyone is impressed with his singing. Toasty compliments him saying he turned out to be chupe rustam and Sudha says that every once in a while someone does some one thing well by mistake and Dadaji says no, that's not fair and Sudha says sorry and that she was just joking and that Pitaji sang really well.
Tej moves the game along and asks what the last sound was...it was "R" and Pitaji tells Tej that it's his turn (Thank God!! Mujhe lagaa uss SBB segment ke baad ki main Tej ka ghaana nahin sunpaongi but he DID sing 👏 Love when he sings ☺️ *Ahem*) He sings "Rimjhim, rhimjim" refrain and says that its all he knows and ends the song...the game goes around through Dimple, Gyaan, Prachin, and Nitika (I wanted to hear their songs too ...especially Gyaan's because everyone was making faces and plugging their ears 😆...it made me curious) Malti gets "La" and sings "Lara lappa lara lappa layi rakhda"...Prachin gets a phone call and walks off (God! This Piya drama is irritating me yaar 😵) Thank goodness Dimple follows him. Piya asks what the noise is in the background, hearing the singing, and Prachin says that its a party...Dimple pats him and he says bye into phone and hangs up...Dimple asks him about how he's always on the phone nowadays and what's up...Prachin says its his phone, his mouth speaking into it, and his ears and basically to mind her own business. Love their little fights 😆, they'll make a cute couple 😉
Back to antakshari...from Malti, it goes to Lalit who apologizes to Pitaji first then sits on the arm of the sofa seat closer to Sudha, Toasty cheers for him, and he starts singing "De de pyaar de pyaar de pyaar de..." and everyone is applauding and "vah vah" ing for him while Sudha is getting embarrassed...when he's done, Toasty compliments him. Next is Sudha...there's a little bit of jibing between Sudha and Pitaji before she starts...she sings "Dum maaro dum", then it moves on to Pashu. He starts singing "Mere desh ke darthi" in the most besura voice and everyone tries hiding their laughs but fail...Pashu gets up to leave but Lalit asks him to sit and that no one will laugh at him and everyone will sing with him instead...they all sing the song. Then it is Ved's turn but Ved says that he doesn't know any songs...everyone keeps pushing him but Ved continues to say that he really doesn't know any songs...then Malti says how does he not know any songs...he had that one favorite song! Tej goes haan, and tries to remember which song it was...Malti says Dus Bahaane and that Ved used to sing it so much that she has the song memorized and starts singing it. Ved gets up and says that if she remembers that then she must also remember what her mother had said after seeing him sing it...she had said that all that showed his character and that he should at least show some kind of respect to his Bhabhi...he says angrily that he respects his Bhabhi and leaves from there. Pitaji yells after him but Malti asks him not to yell at Ved and that she is not hurt or offended...Pitaji says but in front of everyone...Malti says everyone present are their own so it doesn't matter...she then changes the topic and says that everyone must be hungry and asks Toasty to help her set everything on the table.
Everyone is at the dining table...Gyaan comes with Ved behind him...Dadaji asks Ved to sit by him. Pitaji compliments Malti and says that the aloo parathas are very good...Malti tells him that Toasty made them...everyone gives complimenting smiles to Toasty...Gyaan says having tasted the first one, my hunger has increased. Pashu asks for the gobi parathas and Tej passes them over saying they are amazing too...Malti says that Toasty made those as well. Tej smiles at Toasty. Prachin asks Malti that she didn't make anything? Malti says that she did...she made aloo bindi and asks if he wants some more. Prachin says no thanks...Malti is kind of hurt. Pashu then asks Malti that she was the one who made the aloo bindi? Malti gets happy and says haan...Pashu then says that that's why he was wondering why the swad of Toasty's hand isn't in it...Malti becomes serious and hurt. Toasty says Bhaiya, now you have to get used to Bhabhi's food too. Lalit asks to be invited to eat here more often and that way he'll get a chance to eat good food too. Toasty says "Papa!" and Sudha says very good ji, very good...wait till we get home 😆 Gyaan asks Toasty what else she made and to give...Toasty says that this is all that's there...Nitika says that she'll have to get cooking classes from Toasty...Malti watches on upset as everyone continues complimenting Toasty. (Lo...the jealousy train has started to leave the station 🤢)
Part 2:
Hall:
Sudha is telling Toasty that the food was really very good...she then tells her how nice she felt when Toasty was getting all the compliments from everyone and that only Toasty's name was on everyone's lips. Not that Malti made horrible food but everyone was only complimenting you. 😛 Toasty gets annoyed and says what are you saying Mumma? Sudha says everyone was complimenting my baby so much and I shouldn't show my happiness?😆 (Sudha does have a right to be happy and Toasty deserves to be complimented...she put so much love and hard work into bringing happiness into the Chaturvedi family...Malti still needs to prove herself) Was Malti's name on anyone's lips?? No na...and she continues to be happy. Toasty asks her not to say things like that about Malti bhabhi and says that it will take some time for everyone to get used to her and once they do, then everyone will be talking about Malti bhabhi and everyone will forget Toasty. Sudha rolls her eyes and says okay okay, laadli devraani. Then she goes to call Nitika for them to leave. Toasty thinks and says that Mumma was right...everyone was complimenting only me and that Malti bhabhi must have felt bad.
Pashu-Malti's room:
Malti is sitting on the bed upset and Pashu comes in...he thinks she is upset over Ved and explains to her that Ved just needs some time. Malti says she's not upset about that but whether or not she will be able to make a place for herself or not. Pashu asks her why she is thinking about all of that now...Malti excuses herself saying she has to clean the dishes. Pashu is left reflecting on Ved and wondering what he can do to help Ved.
Part 3:
Dadaji's Room:
Pitaji is helping Dadaji onto the bed and situating him with a hot water bottle behind his back. Dadaji's back is hurting and Pitaji tells him it was from all his excitement to the resort and back and then when they came home, he didn't even rest either, he continued with his excitement. He then puts ointment on Dadaji's legs and starts massaging them...Dadaji tells him there's no need and Pitaji says its for his treatment. Dadaji tells him that he must be tired too but Pitaji says that he is still young and that Dadaji is old. Pitaji then starts talking about how happy they were to hear about Toasty being pregnant and how hurt he was after he found out that this news wasn't true...but even after hearing this, they came back happily...he reflects on how much happiness there is in the house now. Dadaji says that he must have done many good deeds in his past life to have gotten so much happiness in this one...and also that he must have spent a lot of money in his past life which is why he is so stingy in this life. Pitaji nods and laughs along then realizes what Dadaji says and says "Bauji! You're talking about kanjoosi in this too!" then asks if he really is still that kanjoos? Dadaji says no, you're showing kanjoosi in that too now. Pitaji nods, then realizes again what Dadaji said and they both laugh.
Hall:
Toasty is turning off the lights when Malti comes down the stairs and says that she was getting water for PItaji's room...Toasty says that she doesn't need to give her any explanations...actually I need to get water for my room too so I'll go with you. Malti starts walking towards the kitchen and Toasty follows her saying that Sudha and Nitika really liked her aloo bindi and Sudha was telling her to learn the recipe from Malti and Nitika wanted her to parcel it for her but Toasty said that she wouldn't because she wanted to eat it in the morning. Then she says that Tej also told her that she doesn't learn anything from Bhabhi and that she should learn from Bhabhi. Malti seems to know that Toasty is just making stuff up and gives her a fake smile and walks off...Toasty prays to Bhagwaan to please make Malti's mood right.
Pre-Cap: Toasty is serving chai to everyone and Pashu asks for his cup but Toasty tells him that his chai is coming in a bit...Pashu asks if the chai is with her then why is his coming later? Toasty says that Malti bhabhi is making his special favorite vaala chai...Dadaji watches.
Dadaji reflecting in his room wondering if what he saw today is the start of the relations becoming distant.
Okay, honestly, though I'm a tad annoyed with it, I'm kind of interested to see how this Malti jealousy thing plays out (because jealousy is a natural trait of humans)...I just hope it doesn't villain-ize her though *rolls eyes* because there would be no way to redeem her a second time. Ok..I personally am getting scared that when Toasty eventually becomes pregnant, she'll have a miscarriage or that she may not be able to concieve...because everyone keeps bringing up the fact that eventually a baby will come, etc and I don't know if I'm just looking too much into it or if it's a foreshadowing of some sort *Crossing fingers and praying* I hope it's not true!! I want a TejYa beti ASAP! 😳
