Actor Ravi Dubey may be one of the popular faces on television today, but things were not going all that great for him till a few years back. A civil engineer-turned actor, Dubey says that he had actually flunked his engineering exams and was so disappointed with the way his life and career were going, that suicide seemed like the only way out. Luckily for him, things soon fell in place and he now laughs at his morose thoughts back then.Talking about stress levels in the television industry, Dubeysays, "We actors don't get enough time to spend with our family members who are our support system. If you are doing well, you don't even get enough time for yourself! I think that is one of the major causes of stress in the TV industry."
Having said that Dubey insists that he loves what he does for a living which is what calms him down at the end of the day. So, what does he do to de-stress? "Meditation and Buddhism have now become an integral part of my life. They've literally changed my perception of life and makes me want to see only the happy aspects of it.
Ask Dubey, how does he feel to be part of Saas Bina Sasuraal that is male dominated as opposed to most that revolve around the women in a household and he says that it's not so bad after all! "It's fun, you know. We shoot like one happy family, so that's what matters. But I definitely don't want to have a sasuraal without a saas. Mother-in-laws always add love and spice to one's life," he laughs.
