The theme for this round is -

Sufi Songs

Participants, who have made it through to Round 3, please get in touch with your respective mentors and start working on your Round 4 songs. Alaap and Bandish Gharana participants, please see the announcement post below for directions (post 2)

All the mentors should collect the songs from their respective gharana contestants and post the entries here on the last day of Round 4 submission. The result of Round 3 will be announced AFTER the songs of Round 4 are posted. But have a reqest for the mentors. Plz do also submit the original song link with the entries of the contestants.

The ones who are eliminated, their songs will not be sent to the judges. And if for any reason the last date gets extended then the results will also be posted on that extended last date

We have some important very announcements for you all ..Please read them carefully.

**Announcement - 1**

Bandish Gharana Mentor - Pradarshak had to leave unexpectedly due to a serious family crisis. In her absence , the Co-ordination Team will take charge of mentoring the gharana .

Bandish Gharana contestants, we are here to help you out. So please get in touch with us and lets carry the show forward, till Pradarshak is back to take charge again.

**Announcement - 2 **

Due to some personal obligations, Sahana (punjini) will not be able to continue as the mentor of Alaap Gharana from Round 4. While it is a big loss to us all, we still have to let her go , as her other commitments need her immediate attention .

Amukta will replace Sahana as the Alaap Gharana mentor from Round 4.

A warm welcome to Amukta !!!🤗 We are sure you will enjoy your time here . It's our pleasure to have you on board. Best of luck !

IF SRGMP is really incomplete without you. Right from the day the contest was rolled out two years back, you have been a very important part of it and you have contributed immensely. Without your support, advice , encouragement and hardwork, this show could not have gone this far. With a very heavy heart we bid you adieu and wish you the very best in all your endeavors. ** Announcement #3**

Participants are hereby being cautioned that they should NOT tamper with their song recording or try to technically enhance it. That causes immediate disqualification. In Round 2 we have had one such unfortunate incident. Arun Sampath of Alaap Gharana got disqualified for trying to enhance his recording.

Here is a personal request to all participants - please refrain from trying out anything that tampers with the original recording. Please read up the rules once again :

However, there is a good news - Arun can come back into the contest through the wild card round.

I know I am not supposed to post replies to mentor's thread. But I hope you permit me at least say that I have made my case to Barnalidi and Anuradha explaining step by step how I record my songs. I have not used any software to enhance any part of my singing. I wish I was allowed to make my case before.

That said, I do not see myself coming back in the wild card round and would like to withdraw from the contest. But I will continue to be part of the discussions in the remaining rounds and hopefully provide some useful comments to the remaining participants. Thank you for providing me the opportunity to participate in the contest. I thoroughly enjoyed it for as long as it lasted.

Thanx Arun for the mail...yes we got it. As i told u in the mail u were sent PM about the issue. We even made sure to provide our mail ID's so that u can get our immediate attention.....even your mentor was informed about it few days back. Its really unfortunate that u picked them up late....

As to the enhancement part...Arun i think i explained it all on mail. will do so even here. 😊 Even rec using enhanced technical applainces is against the rules...we need to make sure that all the contestants r on the same page. that none hv any added advantage and for that very reason we even provided them guidance about recording.

The song is enhanced is very clear....maybe was not done deliberately but we felt it would hv been unfair on the other contestants. Its very sad turn of events...but we r helpless in the matter. But still we would like to see u in the contest again thru wild card.

Thanks for the very prompt response Barnalidi. I will respond via email to your points and we can carry our conversation there. I got a chuckle when you said "enhanced technical appliance". I wish my vanilla karaoke system was all that 😊

To keep the song recording of all the contestants on the same platform we had devised the recording instructions and had accordingly set the rules for the contest based on that. Here is the copy of the same:

It is indeed a fact that your song had an accoustic setting, that normal recordings as submitted by others did not have. Perhaps because of the way you recorded it added that. But whatever may be the case, it still deviates from the set rules.Had you followed the recording step by step instructions as mentioned in the thread, we wouldn't be having this discussion today.

Just once, record a song the way it is stated in the instructions, and you will notice the difference yourself .

We would love to see you back in the contest and please do come back through wild card.😊

A note for all the mentors:

As this is sufi song round and considering the fact that we all are hitting our brains for the right sufi songs 😆 the coordinating committee is requesting all the mentors to post the selected song for the contestant so that we can confirm if the selected song is sufi or not.. That way it wl avoid any confusion..

Thanks co-ordinating team. 😆 Yes all are hitting heads to know if any song os sufi or not.

By night will post the one selected not finalised though. Just yes no bata dena so that we can go ahead. 😆

Thanks Adi. I have said everything that I have to say in this regard in the emails. I have nothing more to add. Thanks to Barnalidi for being patient and understanding in hearing out my side of the story. Now its time to move on.
