i think we all need to step back and really look at public voting for what it is.

it's a money maker for the channel for sure, but it's also a way to garner interest in the program for those that would otherwise watched without interest.

check out how many posts have been made over people being voted out/in and you'll see what i mean. adding public voting lifts the burden of judgement from the judges (meaning you don't look at them as responsible). instead you start speculating as to how many fans so and so has.

in my opinion--which i expressed during ch07 too, was that it's ALL RIGGED.
it was totally obvious that sahil and vaishali were going to be in. why? vaishali because she's a talker and brings a lot of fun to the show (i'm not a fan but i admit she constantly makes me laugh). they need her there for the fun factor.
sahil, admittedly improved a lot, but i find it difficult to believe he's that popular or that his family is rich enough (as everyone is speculating--families/friends vote the most. pl see saturday's show when they gifted sahil an mp3 player. the other kids families were able to afford to get their little kids mp3 players--but sahil's fam couldn't) to bring him in to first place. i think this was srgmp's way of establishing that they are a show that's all about music again to redeem themselves after the ch07 fiascos. he improved the most and sang well, judges expressed their happiness with this, and he came in #1.
that's just way too far-fetched.

honestly, it's all rigged, regardless of what the outcome is.

Loria was capable and got A+ both days, so its not like he is encouraging a weak participant. The only way she could stay is through voting, he made sure for that, just like how you have to pay donation to get a medical seat or engineering seat. It is also comparable to elections where you garner votes by spending money.

I think most of the parents do but only loria's dad came out with it. I remember in challenge 2005 hema's mom/aunt said they spent lakhs for the same. For Debo the assam students union gave free cell phones to vote. I think its mostly the family/friends of the contestant who do the maximum SMS voting anyways. Do you think all those votes are stricly based on the "aam janta" voting I doubt. I want to know how many who visit India forums vote?

If Zee TV wants fair judging then leave it to judges. Actually till now this business was only in education/politics now they opened the doors for it to music also through this SMS voting. I just hope they did not play around with the votes to make Vaishali winner. This is strictly my opinion and no offence to anyone.

very well said! i totally agree with you!👏

the judges would know better and they should have brought back a person depending on what they got...loria had gotten two A+'s...then dont you think the "janta" should vote for best singer?

The parents have always been an issue. It is a known thing that parents will go out to ensure win for their wards.

They can be sore losers- Gurpreet's mom.

They can gang up and conspire to keep away potential threats - Aiswarya withdrawing for the competition due to objections from parents.

But then, all these would not have come up on screen if they had not taken the parents opinion and choose to air them.

May be this is a part of the show itself with mutual agreements with parents and the show organizers to spice up the show to break the usual monotony of a purely singing based show.

I do not find any reason where parents will endanger future prospects of their wards in the future shows by expressing such anti show unruly behavior on screen!

I agree with your post as well as the post by this topic starter. This show has not yet picked up enough steam and the channel is trying ways to create controvercies in order to garner audience interest and involvment. By bringing in Vishali and leaving Loria out seemed obvious when the judges could only decide no1 and no 2 and could not agree on no3 a few weeks ago and Suresh Ji was in favour of Vishali. I sensed that something will happen in next show and here we go we just saw a better singer got eliminated much to the surprise of almost every one.
