According to our sources, Yashraj Films is pretty upset with Zee TV because they're not paying up for the songs they use from YRF films on the channel's shows, especially on a music related show like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

Our source informs, "Yashraj has had a problem with Zee for quite sometime now. What has upset them is that Yashraj has not been paid for the songs used in programmes like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa."

Our source says that Yashraj even told singer Sukhvinder Singh not to sing 'Chak De' at an event in Chandigarh as it would be telecast live on all Zee channels. Our source explains, "When authorities at Yashraj learnt that singer Sukhwinder Singh had plans to sing the 'Chak De' number at the Indian Cricket League event in Chandigarh, they told him not to do so.

Yashraj did not want any of their songs to be aired on Zee channels. Singh, who has sung the title track of Chak De India, was very disappointed. However, he had no option but to comply."

When contacted, Sukhvinder Singh confirms that Yashraj had asked him not to sing the 'Chak De' song at the event. "It is true that Yashraj instructed me not to sing the title track of Chak De India over here. I am just a singer. The finally authority of the song lies with Yashraj. So I did not question the request. They told me that it would be better if I used another song for the function."

Ashish Kaul of Zee says, "Yashraj Films is a respectable banner. I am sure they will not stoop down to the extent of telling a singer not to sing a particular song. As far as we are concerned, we want our singers to sing songs they are comfortable singing."

Kaul dismisses the non-payment issue with Yashraj, saying, "I am not aware of it."

When contacted, Monica Bhattacharyya, the official spokesperson of Yashraj Films says, "The copyright of all these songs belongs to Yashraj. So if some shows or channels are using the songs, they need to pay us as per the rate card. I don't know if there has been an issue of non-payment with Zee. These are all business aspects and it is nothing unusual."

So they don't want anyone singing their song without paying, then how does the song become popular , if no one no where is supposed to sing them, then why make them...😆
