Hey guys , Do these kids stop their studies for the compition ? If they do I think it's not a good idea , because some day they might be feed ( maybe not ) up with fame and they might want to be normal and have a doctor or other job .... It can make them have bad grades over the years .

I just wanted to know if they study ... Please close this topic if it is not allowed . Please do not get mad , this is my opinion , I think they should study . Please tell what you think .

Yes they do skip school. I think it is worth it to live your dream even if it is for a few months. There is a lifetime of school ahead of you, Many of us will be 50 and still be going to school to upgrade something for our career or a new course etc.. Also why do we go to school? To build a foundation for our careers, Many of these kids have said Music to be there careers so an oppertunity like this come just once in a lifetime. No aspiring singers gets to meet so many big wigs in the industry and exposure so early. It is like a kid who wants to be a computer / software developer when he grows up but gets to be in a program or show for a few months, gets to meet Bill Gates when he/she is 10 or 12, gets to learn from them , get tips , tricks etc... that is Education in itself. Also like i said all these kids have a Dream to be a famous singer someday, honestly maybe 1 or 2 out of the bunch will get to fullfill that dream at a later stage in life. Most of them will get moulded by society and accept whatever jobs , careers that comes their way. Most of them are living the dream now this is as close to many of them will ever come to full filling that dream. So let them live it now... there is still plenty of time to be a.... doctor , lawyer , engineer.... 😉

Very well said! 👏 I agree with you. By participating in SRGMP, the contestants increase their understanding of music, gain a different perspective towards life, become confident and know what it takes to live up to their dreams. It is indeed a great experience for them. Discontinuation of school should only be temperory though.

If you are studying in a school where madams(Teachers) bun the sweater all day, than it is rather better to be at saregama for some gana bajana 😆
