There's been a lot of debate over who deserves to win this contest. Frankly, I feel all three finalists are deserving, or else they wouldn't be in the finals. They've all proven themselves, and have all been declared winners at some point or another.

The question then, is not who deserves to win, but who needs to win. For that we need to consider what's at stake. We already know that regardless of who wins, all of them have already been noticed and gotten offers for playback singing. Winning or losing won't hurt their prospects. Yes, if anything's at stake, it's the prize money - 50 lakhs.

So who needs the money the most? Most of us would agree that Raja does. His family financial condition, from what we've seen on TV, is less stable than that of Aneek's and Amanat's. Add to that the fact that he's older than both of them, and has a greater responsibility on his shoulders to sustain himself and his family - the others are still young and can depend on their parents for their roti. Most significantly, Aneek and Amanat have already won contests earlier and have received prize money too. It's Raja's turn now - and he's struggled a lot for it.

It's a shame that in a contest where every singer has worked equally hard, only one walks away with all the prize money, and the loser gets nothing. But if I had to pick one, then Raja should be given the prize.

The vote should always be based on the capability not other factor, especially thier social or finacial status.

That statement is pretty naive. Emotions play a very strong part in voting trends, especially in the Indian psyche. Forget singing contests, it even features in politics. Why do you think an educated lawyer like Laloo flouts himself as a vernacular man? Because the public laps it up.

You didn't understand my post. He doesn't deserve it only because of those reasons, and yes, he can do well without the money too. But if I have 50 lakhs and I need to give it to one of those 3, I would give it to Raja - simple as that.

Frankly I don't think money is going to be a problem for any of these 3 contestants. So I won't vote on that basis.

But I have a pretty complicated logic for voting for Raja :-)

If you have a solid favorite, then that's good. As for me, I was stuck in a position where I couldn't choose, especially between Amanat and Raja. So to make it easier, I came up w/ my logic. My siggy puts it best. 😉

I don't have a solid favourite. I like all three of them because each one has something the other one does not have. That's why I had to resort to my complicated logic. It's something to do with Himesh 😃

if u go to my colleagues house in gorakhpur which is big but village style and under repairs..... u would say that he is in need of money...... while in the city even if they show one room filled with furniture u would say that he is financially stable...... who knows raja has big farmlands.....??? we cant vote based on what we see as he financial conditions😊

Well if you say who needs the money most then I would definitely agree that its Raja. Somehow he reminds me of Rajeev of C2005 but of course Raja is far more talented. Also there is something about him that touches the heart. 😳

This is the first competition for me where I like all 3 contestents and I feel they are all superb. However, I feel Amanat has a slight edge over Raja and Aneek in that he is the most versatile singer. He can sing songs of any genre as he has proved.
