Its Retro Caf Show time again!! 😊

This week we are back with a theme which will surely make you all go watery…. Yes, the theme is

Songs on Sea / Samundar or Saagar.

We all love seas. The splash of the waves, the change of the water colors, the beauty of simply gazing around at the endless water, the fabulous sunrise or sunset, the beauty of the moonlit soaked water on a full moon night, the pleasure of being lost in nature with nature is something we all can relate with. How often has a poet or a shayar compared beauty and depth with the seas? "saagar jaise Aakhonwali" or "saagar se gehra hai pyaar" – how often have we used these phrases while complimenting someone or expressing something?

Someone has rightfully said :

Samundar ki har lehar humse baat kiya karti hai,
Apne zindagi ke falsafe humhe sunaya karti hai,
Har lehar ki apni ek kahani hai,
Uss mein na koyi aaso na koyi khushi ki rawani hai,
Isi tarah yeh leharein jiya karte hai,
Kabhi hum na ho tho,
Apne aap se baat kar liya karthi hai.

Our Hindi films have many songs on seas. They cover every mood - whether happy, romantic, sad, wishful or analytical. Some of the songs are so evergreen that we can listen to them at any time and yet feel refreshed. This week Retro will bring some such songs for us.

So, please note down the show details as given below, mark the date and time in your calendar, PM your friends to let them know too, add this thread to your favorites and keep the radio link handy and get set to have a memorable time.
