How can Amanat winning the contest be bad for India's image?

Yes it is bro, do you understand the consequences of an outsider winning?, They would lose trust in there Realty shows. Majority of the viewers are from Indian. Its is based there, The people would go nuts.

Do you mean no foreigner hasn't won any type of contest in India at all for the past 60 years?
I didn't say that.

Amanat has been the top vote gainer before and has been consistently maintaining his top three position largely thanks to votes from India as well.
Amanat doesn't get the same treatment you can see for yourself on the shows Rajas every performance they go nuts over.
Again even if amanat loses, he should be more than happy what the country of India gave him. From being nothing, Turned into a star.

Very well written bro..but take it from me ..Raja will win this contest, not because he is the best singer but the appeal he has and way they have shifted focus from finding a playback singer to contending with other musical shows in other channels in terms of TRP and popularity. Had it been purely music we wouldn't have seen the Kareenas or the multiple Diyas and Dhupias.. or even the Bollywood version of 'being topless'. We should have seen more of the musical maestros. This show is purely a commercial soap where Friday episodes are meant for emotional dramas, highlighting the plight of an individual and many more whereas the Saturday episodes are meant for a free movie launch pad.

Then there is the new cocept of having the guru on stage standing with his mic for a couple of minutes when the sishya sings as if there is some divine intervention due to the decrease in the relative distance between the performer and the promoter.

Honestly speaking i watch the show to force myself to find some good performances by the contestants and i am more disappointed than happy. All the three finalist had their good days when they focussed more on singing and less on 'mard bhai and aurat behen' or 'enacting the train jumps on the stage' or what not.

The bottom line for me here is:

TRP has been raised, movies has been declared hit even before they were released, 'rishto ki buniyaad' has been tightened, necklines have gone deeper, gurus have becomes sasurs and the list continues...............
BUT MUSIC HAS BEEN RAPED....
Take care

bro nicely put, good observation, mad props

Saregamapa show. Today I broke the ice and decided to share a few of my own thoughts.

I don't know how many of us are aware that this contest is not just based on number of votes. The producers have the last say on who leaves. (If you don't believe me check the rules for voting). The Producers have the last say.

This means even if someone didn't have high votes, but they were bringing good ratings like Mauli. They will keep. Everyone knew she wasn't that great of a singer, but she stayed because she bought ratings and thats what the producers look for.

Everyone blames the judges specially Himesh, but they don't realize that he's just a judge who works for the producers. Every story line he gets told what to do. ie. (the whole aneek, amanat, sumehda). The producers keep a balance with vishal & shekar (who play the good cop) & Himesh who is the big mouth. Just for the ratings they setup the whole story over the National anthem. They were told what to say. Each one of the pakistani contestant would speak one by one as if it were rehersed. Remember when Bappida left because of Mauli, I mean come on that was such a setup. They wrote "To be continued..." Its like a soap opera.

Moving on to my point basically its up to the producers who they will Hype up. All the judges will come on stage for that person and he will be number one. If you noticed whenever a contestant is about to get kicked off he leaves with a singing contract in hand, or sometimes with an excuse of a throat infection the week before.

Now moving on to who will win?
Most probably Raja
Not because of his singing skills, but because he fits the story. Since the show is based in India, They definitely want someone from India. Therefore RAJA HINDUSTANI. A poor kid from Hindustan who made it big. They would never let someone from another country win the contest. Its bad for the countries image. Don't get me wrong he can sing, but hes not the best. He lost to amanat and then was voted back in. 2 times he forgot his lyrics. Everyone knows hes more of a Sufi singer, just like Mussarat. which is one type of genre, Raja isn't an all rounder. On the episode when he sang Dard-E-Disco Himesh said you outdid Aneek. he replied and said "Sir I can't sing that type of song." Anything high pitch he will do well in. When he sings low tone songs his words aren't clear. Name me one low voice song from Rafi, or sonu he has sung and gotten praised for. Not once. What Raja does really well is he gets the crowd moving with his dancing skill, and verbal skills.
You will see for yourselves even if Raja wins. Soon You will get tired of his voice.

Aneek is also a really good singer I would prefer him over Raja to win. In the competition they favor him a lot as well. Couple of times I've
noticed he starts to sing and before he even finishes the song Himesh gets up on stage for no reason to promote him. Keep in mind Aneek came in the middle of the show. His singing in the classical rounds wasn't really extraordinary.

The Real winner should be Amanat.
He has been there from beginning and stuck it out till the end. From day one this kid has sung every song almost perfectly. Ismail Darbar made in his own words said "What can I teach this kid, He already knows everything." His Sur placement is better than
anyone in the show. If you go back and watch the shows with out the hype everyone else gets He got the highest marks. Jagjit Singh & Pandit Jasraj said that Amanat should be the winner and he is number 1. Ismail Darbar (one of the best composers) said that amanat knows more about music then he does. He can play the Piano, tabla, dholak and many of other instruments. He is the total package and a gifted Musician. Himesh who doesn't promote Amanat because of Aneek said "That two times you have been declared the winner". Vishal & Shekar said "You are above this contest".
Regardless of who wins Amanat should be thankful for everything he got in India. I think he will be the busiest playback singer.

Its okay to be fans of Aneek and Raja, but now with all those reasons given. When something is so clear cut I don't know how people can say someone else deserves to be the winner.

Thanks for reading.

You said I outdid you, yea right. 😆 And I'm glad you took time to write all this out. It was definitely worth reading. I completely agree with every statement. Its just so clear that Amanat is the most talented of the three, and therefore most deserving. People claim that there is no nationalism or regionalism in the show, but on the contrary, that's all there is. The votes are dependent solely on these ideologies. How can people say its not when we have people like Prashant Tamang winning over Amit Paul (Indian Idol 3). And its really funny that you mention the voting rules, I just happened to read that today, and was sooo surprised that it said that. And that no one had noticed this before. It was very clear that voting outcomes are all staged and so is are all the mentor dramas. All though I am Pakistani, I sincerely believe that the Pakis being in the bottom three after the Independence day theme was completely staged. (But the speeches the Pakistanis gave were very sweet. 😳 ) Even if it was just international votes that was keeping them there, there was no way that they didn't got the lowest votes when Mauli sang Yeh jo des hai mera (Swades). There's just NO way. And the fact that India was sooo kind to let all three of them stay was again, a bunch of BS. It was planned ahead of time.
My point in fact, just like yours is, that Amanat should win the competition. In reality, I think that Raja will swing the votes by a majority. Regardless of what Aneek and Raja fans say, the fair, truthful, honest response is that Amanat is the most deserving, no questions asked.

Great post! 😃

Thanks, I wasted a lot of studying time for this. I'm such a loser

I understand where your coming from, but Pakistanis have to take the blame for whats happening. We don't utilize our talent properly therefore this will happen. These days all of the talent is coming to India, whether its Music, Comedy, Models, or sports. How many musicians have come, Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Call, shafqat amanat ali, rahat fateh ali, Rox3n, and many more.
India's Comedy wasn't that strong, Umer sharif came over, recently they had GCLC, Comedy Ka Badshah, Comedy Circus. Over 10 Comedians. With the help of Pakistan it became even stronger.

India is Economically and politically strong Country that is why it does well. Pakistan can't feed all these people. That is why they go overseas to make money. When there is a cricket match in India there is a big audience that watches. Pakistan hardly anyone comes for test matches.

Anyhow, Even if these stars come over and don't win, at least the Indians are helping them with there careers. We should be thankful for that, otherwise in Pakistan there talent goes to waste.

Hardly anyone knows this, Another Topic you can start on the forum.... lol

Kodak moment Ismails Darbars face when maulis voice was screeching while she was singing Swades. I think the voting is Rigged, so there is no point dwelling over that. Even if Amanat doesn't win I think he will be the best playback singer. Ismail Darbar already said I want you to work you way up to Lata jis level. so that just shows he has the potential

Maybe we should start a Amanat support group...

Great post! 😃

Although I agree to an extent that there are less opportunities in Pakistan, that's besides the point. India brought singers from Pakistan to India to compete. And now the voting shouldn't be done on the basis of where the singer is from. It should be purely based on talent and singing abilities. Because that's what the show is about, or at least should be about. You know I give up, people are going to be biased and cast their votes regionally, nationally, and there is absolutely nothing that you, me, or anyone can do.
As for starting an Amanat support group, well I don't think we need an official group, because people out there that watch the show to appreciate the music know that Amanat is the best, and whether people accept it or not, its pretty clear. And people are already bashing Amanat fans because there are "too many" of them on this forum, forgetting to realize that he in fact has these fans because he's talented. Eagerly awaiting the finale. Hope this reply was worth your time.
And FYI, you're not a loser, so stop calling yourself that. 😉
