Tsunami ? Raja Hasan unleashed !!!

Before 29th, Raja Hasan had provided enough entertainment to his fans. They were crazy about his khanakdaar voice and straight-from-the-heart singing. But Raja reminded his fans mostly of the softer melodies like wind-chimes or Jal-tarang. On 29th, Raja caught his unsuspecting fans by surprise when he unleashed two power-packed performances.

What was that ? A Tsunami ? Zalzala ? Eruption of a dormant volcano ?

A Rock Star was born. What we witnessed was a performance that even "THE BOSS" would have been proud of.

Vishal had once said to Raja - "Jab tumhara best aayega to yeh stage hil jaayega". Not only did the stage shake, everyone was swept away by the sheer power of his performance. His gigantic presence on the stage dwarfed everyone else. I was reminded of my favourite childhood TV program - He-Man - when the He-Man takes out his sword and screams "I have the power". That was Raja for you on Saturday - equally powerful - but melodious all the way. He jumped, danced, twisted, went on his knees and sang as if there was no tomorrow.

Rja and only raja - he was beyond everything everybody- what a performance - the best ever . what a connection he makes with the audience. he came, he sang and he ruled!!!!!!!!!!!WOW 👏

A treasured memory for me is of the day when I saw the Niagara falls the first time. I don't know how they do it now, but in those days they used to take the visitors in a ferry to a place where one could see and hear water falling all around. I read this exaggeration somewhere - the sound of the falls is so loud that it would supress the sound of 32 jet planes flying over. I remember vividly that the sound was very loud but it didn't hurt my ears because it was still the sound of water. It was even soothing because all the other unwanted noises were totally erased. As the water hit the rocks below, my face was sprinkled with drops of water on the rebound. I returned from the falls refreshed - and also totally humbled by the sheer force of water.

I know I am getting into mindless blabbering here - but to me, a great singer stirs a part of your own self. A song is good if you can relate to it - if the singer can invoke a dormant yet powerful memory of yours. This is what Raja Hasan does to me. 😊
