If she is able to render technically challenging songs without any formal training , that makes her the singer with most innate talent and is a true find from SRGMP.

Many people were under the impression that she is a formally trained singer. Not all formally trained singer will be able to sing some of the songs that she had chosen for this contest. Wish she gets the right guru and such a talent is not allowed to disappear.

Poonam has no classical training???? MyGod its impossible to believe that especially after Vande Mataram and Kuhu kuhu bole koyeliya....

Kuhu kuhu has so many raagas too....she was flawless there...her voice sounds so conditioned....!

Kuhu Kuhu song is a mixture of I think three or four Raagas in a combination. And she sang it perfectly.

She is a God gifted singer. With proper training in classical music she God knows what heights she can touch!!!!

I was involved in the live discussion yesterday on this forum, trying to give a running commentary on this special episode of topclass performances. Then came the moment when Poonam began her rendition of Kuhu Kuhu, and for a moment i was left speechless & stopped my typing so that i could savour the magic of Poonam's voice to the fullest extent. Such was her hold on the audience that nobody would have taken their attention away from such a classy act. Three cheers to Poonam for truly marvelous singing.

i also agree, she was the one who really deserves to win the finale but people only vote for guys.😡 why is it that our people are still sexist they give more preference to guys then gals. that's not fair for gals like poonam. i'm really dissapointed.

I feel Poonam is a very self motivated individual. Often we see self motivated people topping in Universities despite of having no extra help. Looks like applies to the field of music as well.

She got a good Guru of her choice in Ismail darbar. Hats off to ismail Darbar and the pocket size powerhouse.Hope she gets a good Guru to further polish her skills.

Yes "TRUE" thousand times over. She has the immense amount of Latent energy that can be exploited, or should I say can be brought out by gurus such as Pt. Jasraj.

After Kuhu Kuhu Bole Koyaliya, which, is infact, a song in Sohni Raga (you are perfectly right Gopalbhai),I am sure, Poonam has made believer out of non beleivers.

She also showed the best side of her "MAYA" raga (compassion) by helping another human being. My salutations to her.
