yea im not sure if he just said that to find common ground with her great grandfather. harpreet did the same when he told kapil dev he was from chandigarh when he really is from ludhiana.

First it used to be "Dubai ke Mahabali, Amanat Ali". Later it changed to Pakistan. Somewhere in the middle, he mentioned he's from Punjab. After that, more recently, he mentioned he's from Lahore.

To summarize, so far we have
1) Dubai
2) Pakistan (city, unclear)
3) Punjab
4) Lahore (Pakistan with the city's name attached this time)

Someone, apparently close to him, on these forums, mentioned he's from Faisalabad.

Rest assured, George Bush has his eye on this guy now.

Maybe he was born in Lahore but lives in Faisalabaad...or maybe its the other way around...haha I dont know 😆

Lahore is in PUNJAB and punjab is in pakistan and he went to Dubai for audition..........

Well..
- He's lives in Faisalabad (don't they say that when they mention his name, now, on those little plaques at the bottom of the screen?), which is really close to Lahore - who knows, maybe he was born in Lahore, or his Mom/Dad is from there!
- Both of these cities are in Punjab, making him Punjabi!
- He gave his auditions in Dubai, which is why they called him 'Dubai ka Mahabali', since that's where he was selected from!
- With the whole 'Lahore' thing, he was just trying to establish a connection, like 99% of Desi ppl I've met..as in 'I'm Punjabi, and so are you' kinda thing! 😳
- Plus, Kareena's family, according to Wikipedia:
'Hailed from what is now Faisalabad (then called Lyallpur) in the Punjab province of present-day Pakistan.'
So even though Raj Kapoor was born in Peshawar, Pakistan, he was still Punjabi and such, which I guess is where Amanat got his 'Punjab connection' from 😉

faislabad n lahore r real close, maybe his family is from lahore n they moved to failslabad later on
