Really, just compare the people. The top 5 in 2005 were almost perfect. The finalists in 2007 are good, but not very good. I guess it is useless for me to say this though, since i don't think we will ever be able to see singers like the top five from 2005 ever again.

In my opinion, Nihira is the best of both lots😊

I think the top 5 (for sa re ga ma pa 2007) are in following order:

1. Amanat

2. Sumedha

3. Aneek

4. Poonam

5. Raja

Nihira is definitely above all..

Amanat and Raja are a class apart and there cannot be a comparision.

Aneek is definitely better than Debojeet and Vineet. Hemu may be slightly ahead of these three.

Himani is better than Poonam in many ways and also Nihira is way ahead of Sumedha though Sumedha is a close second to Nihira in sweetness of voice.

Clearly, this year's male singers are as good as C2005 and even better(If u leave Hemu)
But yes, in female singers, Nihira and Himani were much refined than Sumedha/Poonam.
