Contestants' future in Hindi music

Hi everyone!

I did not watch C2005. In C2007, many contestants have signed contracts and have started working on albums already. Call me ignorant of Indian film music, but I don't remember hearing about C2005 contestants like I heard of Shreya in past! 😳. I do know that many have accompanied HR / others in stage shows abroad and also few are hosting TV shows. It seems that some music albums were launched. In terms of their success in Bollywood, do you think 2007 contestants have been luckier?

I cannot vote because I did not watch 2005, bt please vote and enlighten me. Thanks & appreciation- QT

C2005 had MANY brilliant singers. Some better than C2007. But the future looks brighter for the C2007 singers. Some of them u feel r already stars 👏

C2007 contestants have gotten more breaks, but I think Nihira deserved more than she got 😭

i wasn't up to date with challenge 2005. but seeing the many offers for contestants in challenge 2007 i think they will do far better!

Challenge 05 contestants did get bollywood songs,but not many.Even though Nihira had some with SEL,she didnt get noticed.Himani just one or two.
Same may be the fate of 07 singers.A few songs and then fading away.

It's hard to predict, but C2007 has a variety of singers with different genre's. They all have a niche they can fill which I think is helpful.

well the story is repeating, Hemachandra, Vinit, Ujjaini, Nihira, Debojit, Himani, Rajiv, Sharib all got offers just like these contestants

it takes 5-6 years atleast for something to pan out, like for Kunal or Shreya. so we will only be able to tell around 2012 whether these contestants made anything out of this

I agree with you. Almost 12 years of churning by SRGMP has produced only 2 successful and visible singers like Kunal & Shreya( i can say 3 as well , as I feel even Sonu Nigam would not have been where he is today without SRGMP). It is their luck combined with their struggling power which alone can make them successful.
