Raja reminds me of ....

I forget the contestant's name (He was a cook by profession and was from somewhere in North India) from Adesh's Gharana couple of years ago, but Raja reminds me so much of him.....

Himesh keeps stressing so much on Musarrat's weakness of being able to only sing NFK's songs but I think more than Musarrat, It's Raja who has a limitation. I feel he's only good at songs that are of Kailash Kher's genre, songs that need a very high pitch. This other contestant from Adesh's Gharana had a similar limitation. Having said that, Raja is a much better singer than him though....

In fact Musarrat reminds me more of Hemachandra (I wonder where he is and if Subhash Ghai really gave him any break as he had promised) minus the shades of South Indian Accent that Hemachandra had. Both have a solid classical background....I'd love for Musarrat to sing the song from Taal ---> Nahin Saamne. I'm sure he'd do great and that might dispel some of the notions about his singing scope.

Ok, what is a Kailash Kher genre? Do you even know what the word means? Just because a douchebag has been screaming the word jonar for a few weeks you jump on it. Try understanding what a genre is first. And then shoot your mouth out.

Other than long hairs i do not find much similarity between them. Raja is a refined and technically capable, well trained singer. When Rajiv was able to sing in higher pitches, his technicality was not impressive.
