Mauli-Not Just famous amongst Texans

I went to my cousin's place earlier this evening and there were a bunch of her friends hanging around there. The conversation somehow landed upon SRGMP and the minute it did..they all started gushing about shakiraben, about how good she is.

I was pretty amused by this and slightly shocked. I asked them why and their reason was that even though she is from the US she has such good hindi pronunciations. I told them that she wasnt born in america and to this they replied that so what? now a days, ppl go to the US for a month or two and develop fake accents and incorporate it in their hindi. so its commendable that her hindi is so 'shudh'. I questioned them about her singing then and they all said that she has such a powerful voice! they also told me that most of the ppl in their college are ga ga over shakiraben.

So it has made me come to the conclusion that mauli does have a lot of fans in india too.

That also proves a point that people are like "SHE HAS AN ACCENT SHE CAN SPEAK ENGLISH OH MY GOD SHES FROM THE US LETS VOTE FOR HER!"

I've heard some people do that also, just vote for her because shes from the US and she can speak english- like wow big deal.

naw you are getting it wrong. they were impressed cos her hindi is so polished, cos her hindi doesnt have any traces of the american accent. and plus she has a powerful voice they said.

Ohh, yeah- that is true though if you think about that. And I won't lie her voice is very powerful and she can change her voices through out the song, but it just leaves it to the fact she can only sing ONE type of song. If she was versatile she would be really good- she just needs more training.

and VT- was that to me? if so how are my comments YOUNG AGED?

she is good in item numbers but she also sang chura liya hai tumne well[[tjhat isnt a item number]] she also sang ali more angna[[dat isnt iten number alsoo n i think dat rasiya song wasnt an item number eitherrrrrr
