Vishal wanted Junaid out and Junaid knew it, if your own mentor shows no interest, then it demoralizes you. I think that Vishal is concentrating on Raja to become the winner. He knew that Junaid is from Pakistan and will not get the Indian votes to carry him in to the finals, so they are playing it safe.

I wish that he could have been a bit more blunt with Mauli and really criticize her singing instead of praising her, doing that to please Bappi.

Yeah, I agree. I also felt that this is what vishal wanted. From the last few episodes he'd been saying negative stuff about Junaid's performances so he was all right with him being eliminated.

For starters, your signature is AWESOME!!😳...Lily and Severus, what a tragic ending to a beautiful friendship..SIGH,had only Snape got his priorities right😭

Coming to the topic,I'm going to take up the cudgels for Vishal.Firstly,it is a FACT and it cannot be repudiated that Junaid's latest performances havent been up to the mark.He was not only performing way below the others, but also way below his own usual standards.Lets not kid ourselves that Junaid sang exceptionally well,we all know(though some might accept it,and some might not,but deep down, everyone would know that Junaid's singing has not been extraordinary). One cannot make excuses(His sickness or lack of interest/enthusiasm) for his low to middling singing...Great contemporary singers like Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan had been sick while recording popular chartbuster numbers. There is no excuse whatsoever for his supposed lack of interest. If he had lost interest, then he had no business being in the show, and was rightly eliminated. If the judges' comments were not all that flattering, the reason is because the singing wasnt top-flight.Period!

Now coming to the comparisons between Mauli and Junaid.Mauli ,it seems, is reaping the benefits of being liked by an astounding number of fans who religiously and zealously vote for her, abysmal though her singing might be🤢.Now somehow it happened that Mauli garnered enough votes not to be eliminated. The mystery of her success is inexplicable, and this isnt the first time a more deserving contestant has been voted out.Notwithstanding Mauli's not being eliminated,I felt the denouement was appropriate.Between Harpreet(who has been singing spectacularly and consistently and not to mention IMPROVING with every performance) and Junaid,I'm glad that it was Junaid who was booted out,and reckon Vishal felt the same. It's not a question of choosing between Mauli and Junaid,it's a question of choosing one between Harpreet and Junaid.

Vishal does not mince with words, and preponderantly grades and comments correctly.Vishal and Shekhar are unarguably the most objective and encouraging mentors.I'm not saying they are perfect or impeccable, but among the five mentors, they are the best!...As for their being linient with Mauli, well,I have to admit she DID sing surprisingly well(or atleast better than usual) in the Qawali episode..But Vishal has criticized her raspy singing too,and infact is the only judge to bring up the issue of versatility..

Besides in all honesty,I'm not cut up that Junaid is out.He wasnt talented enough to WIN the competition, annd it's better this way..He can now fully concentrate and devote his time and energy into cutting the album..😃...There is a serious dearth of good pop singers in India, and Junaid can very well fill the gap in the market!
