I cannot help but give this girl her due. Increasing she impresses me with all the qualities that we are looking for

Focus - she is hard working, totally focussed on singing, never attempts to perform, never afraid to take up a challenge

Versatility - while ppl debate on Musarrat, Mauli even Raja's genre singing, she has in one week entertained us with Rang de, Laila and the original Vande Mataram. Why not give a pat on the back to someone who has attempted songs from all genres, all eras, all singers?

X factor - inspite of her imperfections, little stage presence, her fighting qualities, the sheer force and spirit of her renditions get through. She attempted the original Vande mataram, a song that is 75 yrs old, in a dead language few understand and still left an impact. That to me, is X factor!!!

She is not yet a polished product like Nihira or Shreya. That she needs more trianing and practice is evident. But if she stays focussed, she has what it takes. Kudos to her mentor for pointing her in the right direction

she's an example of 100% dedication and justice to her singing. The vande song was definitely the best rendition of the show so far. her annunciation expressed her feelings for every word and every syllable had the perfect sur and taal.

as the mentors have said over and over again. she's "the" playback singer of the show. i heard her vm over and over again.

Poonam definately has the potential to win!

True. I think a part of the credit should go to Ismail Darbar saab also. No doubt, Poonam is a good singer, but he always makes his contestants go that extra mile, help them build up the confidence and the end result is sheer magic. Poonam and amant, both have been very versatile in their selections.Sometimes they really choose the tough ones.

Although being from America (NY), I used to think Mauli was the best singer because of the way she incorporates Mariah Carey and Christina Aguliera in her song Maiya Maiya. Now I completly take that back, I am so sick of mauli, honey you need to come back cause you cant sing. Mauli has a future in america, people should stop voting for her. The real star of the show is POONAM. This little dynamite sings from her heart she also has a very profound and genuine quality which I really respect about her. The thing I like about Poonam is that when actors like Fardeen Khan and Salman Khan come on the stage, she does not start directly singing to them or trying to impress them like other singers (Mauli). When ever she gets a "once more" from the audience and sometimes Ismail ji will come up on stage incourage her and also call the star of the day up there to encourage her, she does not pay attention to them (the actor/star) She is so into her singing she forgets that they are even on stage. She does not get hyper around big stars. I really like that Quality about Poonam.
