Really Confused

I am reading all these spoiler posts and am really confused. If it has already been decided who is going out on Friday, why are people still voting? What is the meaning of the votes and what about people who are still voting for the contestant that has already been eliminated? How does this voting thing work? When are the votes really counted for the episode that is aired on Friday?

I think voting is closed by sunday...
coz last time when i was voting online..it had this date..saying you can vote..before ------...
date was there..i think it was sunday..not 100% sure..

Voting closes online at 8am Monday morning in some time zone, so I'm guessing that is when SMS voting stops too. Then they shoot the episodes on Monday night (India time) so anyone that was there at the shooting can release information right after.

Voting is open from Friday 10 PM and is closed on Monday at 8 AM (IST)

Terms and Conditions for voting in Saregamapa Challegne

Optional voting is to enable selection of contestant to progress to the Bramhastra, Agni Pariksha and final rounds of the programs.
Any individual can tender his/her vote using any of the following medium Viz; (a) SMS (b) Televoting (c) Internet.
Any individual any where in the world can participate in the voting through any or all of the mediums as mentioned above.
The details about the voting including the closing day and time of voting for the contestants will be announced during the said programme.
The viewers can send unlimited votes through any/all mediums mentioned above and each vote will be counted as distinct and separate vote.
Viewers shall send the vote at their own free will and without any inducement or expecting any benefit from the producer.
The discretion on the validity of votes rests with the producer.
The producer alone shall have the right to consider or disqualify any/all votes sent by voter via any medium of voting in favour of any contestant.
Producer reserves its right to alter or change the criteria for selecting the contestant for next round of the programme at its own sole discretion, without assigning any reason for the same.
As per the current format the elimination of contestant will be decided on the basis of total number of votes received by the contestant from the viewers, however the format of the programme is subject to change at the discretion of the producer.
Individuals shall vote for the contestant at their own cost as per the rates charged by the services provider and the producer shall not be responsible for the rates charged or reimbursement thereof.
No dispute pertaining to the votes will be entertained.
It is agreed by the voter that producer being the owner of the programme, is the sole decision taking authority and any decision taken by producer shall be full and final and shall be binding on the voters and no dispute pertaining to the any aspect related to the programme will be entertained.
The said programme and this terms and conditions are subject to Mumbai Jurisdiction.
It is agreed by the voters that they accept the above term and condition and the same shall be binding on them.
