hey u all raja critics..lemme tell u one thing.. u guys dont seem to understand music.....if u didnt realize how well he sang today.
1. raja didnt sing the song as it is... ones who know wat classical music is ..will understand that adding his/her notes to the song is called adayegi and ucchatan swabhavh... so that ways the song was far better than the original also....
2. who said that he messed up the beats.. and rhythm.. In the mukhda at the end of the second paragraph.. he fit 2 lines in a single beat...which is a credit.. he did it purposely.....as it credits ur song ....but shame on u guys who are calling it a mess up....
3 . regarding the lyrics.... ye i do agree that he sang lut gai mitgai instead of mar gai mit gai... okk .. but he didnt stop singing ..which was a more important thing..
4. the aalaap at beginning and esp the end notes of the allap.. were so different from the original but still in scale and sur.. so this shows that he is a god gifted singer who doesnt merely copies the original song ..but also gives it his own grace..he can infact become a music composer.
5. the feel of the song .. well.. its always direct dil se when raja sings it...
6. comparisons with other singers.. first one has to be a fool to compare raja with abhro kaanti .. man he was a kid ...may be he'll be comparable 5 yrs later ....second yes emon was good in watever he sang, but he just stuck with the original...and to be the 'one ' u gotta forge ahead ..which raja did.

i would like all the above raja critics to have a listen to his song again ..thru the link below(the song is in the end of the video)and note the points mentioned by me...

Raja was awesome! His rendition was AWESOME! Best of the night and clearly he sang and presented it in his own style.

Please dont compare him to those other little children. No way are they better than him. Seriously you people are so over-analytical.

When people decide to do things in their own way you people seem to have a problem with it. You want them to copy the originial all the time???? Wheres the oringinality in that? This is SRGMP Challenge, not "copy your favourite singer".

i absolutly agree with you. the whole point of the show is to find a all round singer that can sing the oringinal song better than the original itself or to sing a song that has already been recorded in your OWN STYLE!!!!!!and plus i havn't seen today's epi so i personally can't judge it beyond my limits but after what i have seen raja is a fab singer and everyone loves the way he sings. because he either sings it better than the original or he sings it his way which is the most important thing!=)

Raja seemed a bit uncomfirtable with the song, he was trying to do his modulations but the track was slipping out now and then. Besides, he messed up the lyrics..sang 'mar gayi mit gayi' and 'lut gayi mit gayi' everytime.

Yes I agree. Towards the end, it seemed like it missed a few beats and rushed to come back to track. At least thats what it sounded like that. It also sounded like he wasn't saying some of the lines properly.
But I need to listen again to confirm. 😕

Sumedha was underrated today. What was wrong with her performance today that Vishal said tonal quality is not enough and we can't judge you on her past performances? Agreed that some of her past performances were better.

sonyae..
he didnt miss beats... thats a classical variation ..in which u adjust more words than expected in a single beat..
pretty tough to do unless u have total command over the rhythm..
this playinh with the beats can also be the other way round,,,, remember when he sang toota toota .. in a rather slow way while singing the ending portions of allah ke bande...there he adjusted single word in 2 beats..
hope u get my point.
please guys dont say that it was a missed beat..it really hurts... he has tried to do something good and ppl are criticising it due to lack of knowledge abt classical music.

True!!....I found HR n IDs('If you want to sing on daily basis' donno what he meant..does he sing for timepass?) remarks not genuine....

Thank you for the informative information but I already read your post on the last page where you said the same (adjusting more words into a single beat) and were criticizing people for not understanding music. Yes he added his own variations, including variations to the original lyrics. Just heard on youtube both original and his and yes indeed, he sang lut gayi main instead of mar gayi main. Another variation on the original.

Are people saying Raja should be out or that he was the worst? But did he deserve all 10s? We've said it in the past about other singers too. I am like Raja a lot so it has nothing to do with being a critics or hating him so relax.
