The song was a pretty difficult one and coupled with that you have to consider those unnecessary talks at beginning , of course Poonam too is to blame.

Some of the songs start from off beat(not on a beat point but from a gap) after some initial beatless alaap. Those are performed under the baton of a conductor who signals when to start. To me this song was one of those type.

By the way i have not really seen such rendition by any of the other female singers in this season of SRGMP-7, it was fabulous to me.

Please consider that one of the singer is singing a song of Nursery Rhyme standard and still getting wah wah there. What is happening?

Poonam needs to change her song selection. For quite some time she is only choosing sad songs. Including singing, Stage presence is also quite important for such compitition. I hope someone tells her about this.

Poonam's song selection wasn't good. This song is only suitable for a male and if a girl attempts to sing it they have to really put forth 10 times extra effort. It is not an easy song. And if she knew she couldn't sing it then why did she select it in the first place? She sung well but I wasn't all to impressed. If she wants to stay she must choose a song she can sing. She's a great singer no doubt.

And people need to stop going back to Mauli's "Taal" performance. Seriously. Stick to Poonam. 😕
