one name: Amanat Ali

reason: He's trained, put feelings in the song (which some contestant just can't do, e.g. Abhijeet), he makes me like the songs I'm hearing for the first time, He has come from a musical family background, He has been consistent, He keeps the classical music alive in the world of modern, with such finshing and feelings.

Favourite Contestans: Amanat, Junaid, Poonam

Why I watch the show: to watch and hear the contestants

What's exiting abt the show: The guru graph

What I dislike about the show: The rudeness or dryness of the mentors, they should learn to give constructive criticism. Plus, one more fight on the versitality issue will drive me crazy. Moreover, they need better fashion designers. (have u seen Junaid's clothes sometimes? he is such a good-looking person, better clothes will enhance his personality)

Inspite of all this, I love watching SaReGaMaPa.

I watch this show just for the likes of her, Amanat, Apurva who are very simple and concentrate on their singing rather than pulling of other antics or wearing weird nose rings to get support and attention.

I wish the mentors would put in a bit more time into training the contestants and helping them choose the right songs and it wouldn't be long before they get to the level of SRGMP '05.

excuse me? are u hinting at Mauli by any chance? would u guyz please stop bashing her like that! n how could anyone seek attention by just wearing a nose ring eh? Omg get a life i wear a nose ring exactly the same one mauli wears and that does not mean am trying to seek attention! if u don't like her nose ring...fine...but its her choice and let her dress the way she wants- there is no need for anyone bashing on what she wears and how she looks!

please stop it!

I enjoy watching saregamapa and look forward to performances of the every contestant earnestly week after week. But the tag 'Reputed talent hunt' may not be apt for the present round of Saregamapa or even that of 2005. No doubt we have a talented bunch of singers giving their best and most of them are really outstanding.

They are tested only on the basis of their ability to exactly reproduce a bollywood film song(mostly) frame by frame along with any mistakes by the original singer.
Isn't music a creative art?

It is all too obvious that it is not the same TVS saregama which had the singers being evaluated on their prowess in singing all types of songs be it classical, ghazal, film or non film also with variations and modifications and judged by legendary musicians.

Now here the mentors are hiding the deficiences of their pupils by restricting them to particular style and as a result versatility is a taboo word overshadowed by roti and other things. And why not? it is a question of Rs.50 lacs and swanky car and all the publicity thrown in alongwith.

May be a Musical circus but certainly not a reputed talent hunt.

Actually singing and srgmp07 does not go together.Mind you,srgmp07,not 05.Quality of singing and the singers is nowhere in comparison to the other show. Its good that you want to be focussed on singing. If you really want good singing then this show is not for you.So far,Sumedha is my fav.

It would have been a reputed talent show if they didn't have these stupid actors coming in actin like judges. They don't know two bits about music and they think they can judge somebody.

All they want to do is promote their movie on the cash cow that SRGMP is. They should stop allowing these so called actors from coming on these shows. And if they come they should not give any musical advice.

Off course SRGMP is reputed show, will remain like that. Few devils(in eyes of some reputed persoanlities) like Himesh and Salman can not ruin the show, they can just harm it a bit. Himesh forced Mauli to sing Mayya Mayya again to save her but still we have Aneek, Raja, Amanat, Musarrat and Poonam in the show who are keeping our hopes high. But to make this show pure musical Zee should got rid off Himesh for C2007 in the beginning.

that was so irritating, when he asked her to do that 😡he asked her to sing one line "sirf ek line gaa ke bata do" and she sang the whole song, yeh to woh wali baat hui ke ungli di pakadne ko to pura haath thaam liya i was glad vishal stepped in and spoke the truth

well look at it this way, this is a singing talent show. If you make all the singers sing with eyes closed, yes we all will appreciate the music, but how much viewership will that bring to the show? If there is not much viewership can the program stay on air?

Salman came onto the show last year, and from that point on this show took off, with all the talent it had, still it wasnt as popular as it got after the Brahmhastra round, he attracts a lot of people who would normally not tune into the show, is he doing anything that will make a singer sing less qualitatively? no

Zee benefits, in turn the singers get a wider audience, good. I hate in-show sheninagans of mentors more than what Salman will do

Dont get me wrong I am not a big Salman fan off the screen. In fact I lose all respect once he gets offscreen

What's the problem in getting Salman on? Just b'cos Aneek had to take a shirt off 😆 or was it b'cos he was doing nok-jhok with Himesh
