SAREGAMPA IS STILL A REPUTED TALENT HUNT! LETS REMIND OURSELVES WHY..............

right! after a lottttttt of topix bashing the contestants i thought we could do something more positive.

let each of us name our favourite contestant with a plausible reason as to why we like him/her and are voting for him/her.

please name only one contestant each and what exactly you like about their singing which according to u gives them an edge over the others. (please do not quote reasons not related to their singing capabilities)

i thought this mite help us remember why we are actually watching this show bcoz apart from the trp gimiicks etc. etc. there rle are talented ppl in this competition, so why not focus on them for a change!

feel free to post ur comments but do not question other members on their preference. ''To each his own''

hey! nice topic...i rle needed to b reminded why i was watchin the show after all i hrd abt the channel's publicity hungry gimmicks and the contestants wavering talent!

then i remembered that i watch the show to rle c ppl like poonam (my fav contestant!!)
her singing is absolutely flawless. she's sung all those hard classical numbers with the ease of a trained professional.
when it comes to her shortcomings even the mentors find it hard to find fault with her.
i rle like how she is able to emote the feelings that the song requires.

another quality of hers that i rle like is how simple and unassuming she is. she doesnt crave attention nor have i ever seen her resort to any antic to draw supporters..............yet she has so many!
that to me is talent!
and enough of a reason to watch this show and still say with conviction that it is STILL unearthing talent!!!!

Very good topic 👏 Yes, inspite of so much drama there is lot that is positive to look into in this contest.

My favorite for now is Aneek, Raja and Amanat and among girls it is only Poonam.. Aneek has been giving consistently good performance from the time he had entered into this contest.. Raja - Yes, he is giving really good performance.. But his last performance ghanan ghanan did not appear to me so much as he went off key in the high notes.. He should have kept one scale low to sing that song. Otherwise he is just too good.. I also like Poonam among girls.. She sounded nasal to me in the beginning but later on during Agnipariksha, she started giving flawless performance..

Though we can say that impact of C2005 is missing in this show, yet i love watching it.. Slowly others are also giving real good performance and song selection is also too good from the start of Chakravyuh round.. Love listening to Amanat when he sings.. His choice of songs are so soulful - certain songs, I have not heard and through this contest, I am getting to hear them..

Though they are repeating the same drama, yet its interesting to watch.. There is so much fun added to this show.. And so its the number 1 😊

nice topic niki.

For me this show is no. 1 for many reasons - there are good singers, good mentors, good host, good format and good fun and I love this show. all i wish is that mauli goes out soon as possible (sorry mauli fans), then I will love this show even more!

I have my own top 5 list and all of them are very good, but since you asked to name one, it is amanat ali. I love his song selections and the way he carries them off. Listening to him somehow makes me feel relaxed and at peace.

actually I have heard amanat in SRGMP Middle east sereis and I'm his fan since then. The minute I came to know that he was a part of challenge 07, I knew I would be hooked on to this show atleast for the sake of amanat.

It's a nice topic. Atleast we are able to hear Amanat, Aneek and few more good singers. If i forget about the commercial part of this program, it's interesting and may be it could be the reason I am here to scribble.

Only thing that deserving candidate should be in the contest till the end. It would be great to watch final amongst good singers as it was last year.

I like the trio aneek/raja/amanat (apurva too 😭 ). But if I have to choose one it would be Aneek because of his range. He would be a versatile singer like Kay Kay.

thanks for the nice topic niki 👏

i had literally stopped watching SRGMP after exit of Sikander..... I thought he was the best and still think so.... but later with raja's entry i again hooked on to SRGMP..... if i am asked i would tell that i hear only few contestants while others i dont care if i want to hear..... sadly i dont care about any female voices in SRGMP as none can match the good singing standards required for playback singing.... in boys i normally dont like to miss performance from Raja, Aneek, Mussarrat and recently Amaanat.... I feel Amaanat has really become consistent now but he takes lots of murkiyaan which puts me off a bit.... i just love raja's singing and i was spellbound by mussarrat last friday.... i just wished the magic of C 2005 would have repeated 😳 ......
but still happy with whatever i get..... 😃

Poonam all the way it is for me. I agree with Anu that she sounded a bit nasal in the first "hungama" song but since then I have become a great fan of hers.

I watch this show just for the likes of her, Amanat, Apurva who are very simple and concentrate on their singing rather than pulling of other antics or wearing weird nose rings to get support and attention.

I wish the mentors would put in a bit more time into training the contestants and helping them choose the right songs and it wouldn't be long before they get to the level of SRGMP '05.
