This week again we have someone very special on the hotseat.. He had already been the MOTW for last two seasons, and for this season this is the first time he is here.. 😊

What is it about SRGMP that makes you come out with your magnifying glass and examine the minute details?

Just the facts that these music shows have become so focused on TRPs laterly that I've begun to be suspicious about everything they do. It's that cynical attitude that makes me keep my eyes n ears open instead of taking everything at face value. Also, it makes me feel good about myself if I manage to rise above their game 😉

Well I'm a person who relies very much on logical reasoning. I feel everything is done for a reason, and I always try to think about the reasons behind people actions. For instance, if anyone seems to be hiding something or acting odd, I try to think about what it might be, come up with some possibilities, and try to cut it down to one. In short, I'm very curious about human psychology (something I've inherited from my mom).

Well it's a combination of all the above, but it depends on the order. What initially attracts me to a song is the rhythm. If the song also has melody, I find myself listening to it often, and also humming it. And if it also has good lyrics, I'll remember it for a long time - even sing it without music. The reason I still remember old songs is not the rhythm or melody - it's the lyrics.

Too many to list - but I think Pancham da's 70s songs were a good example of a combination of all 3. Music before him had little rhythm but a lot of melody and good lyrics. Music after him has rhythm, but has either lost in melody or lyrics. He was one of the few who had all 3.
