Is Yrkkh in trouble?
Becauseher voice quality is different. Allthe mentorsaregiving importance to different tones.Himani's rendition was about the same technically.
However, I think Sarika's voice will only suit older actresses; its a very mature voice.
Here is proof that Himani's version was way better

Her rendition again reminded me of what ID said to Raja yesterday that most often, when a singer changes the original version, it is annoying to the listener. However, in Raja's case, it was not. Same thing applies here to Himani's version. She made some subtle deliberate changes which actually enhanced the song. I remember that even Sanjay Leela Bhansali had said then that he loved how she sang 'Main to baaz na aana ni' in her own way.
Sarika's voice is way too shrill. I had 100% agreed with Asha ji's decision to eliminate her because on that day, I could actually spot many technical deficiencies in her version compared to Sunidhi's original version. Yesterday, she was more technically correct but I agree that her singing sounds contrived. It does not have the smooth easy flow. I don't claim to know more than these music directors but I would have really liked to sit down with them and made them listen to the original versions and point out exactly why I felt Sarika's renditions fell short.

I am sorry, I disagree. Himani's version was way better than Sarika's technically. Sarika's singing is way too
contrived, her murkhis are not at all clear.
Her voice is just too annoying. Ashaji was right in eliminating her. VS should not have brought her in, they should have called back Reecha instead.

I discounted the changes Himani made to the song when I was comparing because I thought that it would not be fair to expect Sarika to make the same changes. With that, I felt it was about the same.
However, if you compare with the changes, then yes, Himani's was better technically even than the original, which was rather bland IMO (No offense to fans).
...which is the best part about his singing! I find myself paying attention to the lyrics when he sings. This in my opinion is very important along with having your technique right. It distinguishes a good singer from a great singer.
All the best, Raja and I hope the public votes you in through this Bramhastra! You deserve it! 👏
There is no doubt Raja sings from his heart. That is what sets him apart.
About moving forward, I now have mixed feelings about reality shows. I have seen some good singers go down once they are under pressure of weekly performances, other contracts and goodness knows what else. One was Richa Aneja in II3. The other is Sanchita, if u watch her in TA and the recent Taj Mahal episode. IMO her singing has none of the fire she displayed during LC, she sings mechanically and not from the heart. Sameer too does not show the same innovation that set his performances apart.
I hope the same does not happen with Raja. IMO he is too good and we cannot afford to harm him. Who knows when the Zee management wil decide he needs to dance, perform etc in order to raise trps. He may be better off without this circus.
