I strongly agree that it is extremely unfair on part of many here to blindly bash Mauli (although I have raised voice against favoritism shown to her by gurus/mahagurus). One can strongly disagree with the judgement without getting personal to the contestant. There are right words for that.

Mauli did not do anything wrong. She tried her best and left the decision to the Judges. She did not use any deceptive means to go ahead or beg for additional chances. Why then get personal to her? The comments on her personal attributes, getup are totally distasteful and made me feel sad.

yes i totaly agree. I mean there were couple of nasty threads about her mom went on too. How would some one be feeling if others make comments like that for their moms.

If my child was like that on the stage I would get carried away and dance like that too. Mauli's mom is amost wonderful human being and have helped promoting India Indian music culture singing dance and all that to americans spending infinite hours as volunteer. These ppl are nice warm wonderful ordinary ppl just like your next door neightbor. bravo to her mom for raising 2 wonderful children so mulitalented with still their legs on ground. I am not a kind of person who likes to praise ppl if it is not true. I just feels so sad reading all this -tivity.

mauli has not handed everything on silver platter. She has worked hard and contributed to her family Income singing from her early teen years. Just imagine going on road with parents most weekends with books and material and study in spare time. And also helping a mom running her music and dance classes most evening after school.

Does she deserve this kinds of comments? you tell me. Just judge her on her performance. If we were better judge of who sings right or wrong we would be maha gurus wouldn't we?

actually, many people here were simply judging her performance. true, some of us added in a little extra stuff about her appearance, background, and family, but you can't disregard those that strictly judged her singing. as for being maha gurus, well who said that we can't state our opinion? stating an opinion isn't something that only a labeled maha guru is free to do. the way your statement was made makes it seem like you're saying that only what the maha gurus say is correct. however, in reality, it doesn't matter if you're some singing guru or the average joe saying that so and so's singing was great or horrible. in the end, they're both opinions, much like what many of us here provided.

and one more thing aside from all of the above--

i've noticed that people here sure do get offended very easily. seriously, relax. this is a forum after all, isn't it? learn to expect different opinions, some more blunt than others (now i'm not saying that it is okay to be rude). it's so annoying to see almost every fricken topic closed. it's practically impossible sometimes to have a discussion here. afterall, i'm sure none of you guys know these contestants. give it a break. jesus!

i understand what you're saying about bashing mauli's family. however, i will admit that i, myself, did find her family's outrageous dancing humorous. like me, many others found it funny. now is that something to get sad over? ahh, i hope not. there's much worse in this world to get upset over. getting sad over what someone said over the internet is pathetic.

and as far as hanging her goes, i don't think anyone here ever even came close to mentioning something like that. in very general terms, most people here have simply said that they dislike her singing and do not think she deserves the position she has acquired in the finals.

i am not getting sad mm talking abt others who hav mentioned there gtting said ayways do u know thre might be her frnds and family over here too who mght be getting irked by this all, u might hav not read all of those comments sum of them wr really harsh anyways u can go ahead critisizing her singing if u wanna bt i think others shuld stop taking shots at her at evry given opportunity.
