Fights on reality shows look scripted, feel many

If you are watching a serial full of fights, tears and music — don't mistake it for a soap. It just might be one of the many talent hunts that's on right now. Obviously, reality shows have given a whole new meaning to TV serials. And no one's complaining because they rake in the TRPs. "Anything that's controversial will grab the audiences' interest, but that alone is not the reason for the success of these shows," says Gajendra Singh, the man behind Star Voice of India. The latest development is that singer Alka Yagnik has quit the show after a 'tiff ' with a fellow music director, but don't be too surprised if she comes back again. Ismail Darbar too had walked-out of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa during an episode only to be 'convinced' to come back.
People also feel that some of the fights are scripted, but Bappi Lahiri, who's a judge in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, says, "They are creative differences. If you have some one like Asha Bhonsle on your show, you can't think of being rude to her for TRPs' sake. But if we feel that a senior person has taken a wrong decision, we to voice our opinion. That's also because we care about the contestants."
The fights that take place between two judges often take an ugly turn with one of them staging a 'walkout only to be cajoled back later. Vishal of the Vishal-Shekhar duo says, "We have a healthy relationship with all the fellow judges. Both Shekhar and I are fair to the contestants no matter whom they are training under. It's definitely not scripted," he states. Lahiri adds, "I don't know how other programmes work, but we don't work that way." Viewers too have realised that these may be TRP garnering tactics, but no one seems to be complaining. "There's a bit of drama, but there's also good music. But yes, sometimes they do go over the top," says Shilpa Patkar, a college student. Well it definitely looks like our music maestros are going to be giving saas-bahus tough competition.

People who have been watching these shows for long know don't need to be told this. With the pattern that they have seen over the years, they now anticipate that it is time for someone to stage a "scripted" walkout..😆 😆

No one is complaining because now everyone knows there is no point in doing so..... since everything is scripted and will happen according to the script no matter what. So what is the point in complaining
