OK...I am still struggling with this....
Why dont they just explain the format quickly?

I hate it! They just talk about all these rounds...and dont bother explaining how its all working.

I am sure some of you have figured it out.

All these chakravuyu, agni pariskha etc etc....

1st round - 3 groups of 8 people each. 2 people eliminated from each group. 6 people from Eklavya (reserve) gharana take their place for 2nd round.

2nd round - 3 groups of 8 people each. 2 people in each group get direct entry into final round. 2 people from each group eliminated. 12 people go into next round.

Chakravyuh - The 12 from the previous round. 2 groups of 6 people each. 2 people from each group make it to final round. Rest eliminated.

Bramhastra - Wild card round where 6 previously eliminated contestants will be recalled. The winners of SRGMP Bangla and Marathi will also be introduced. Public will vote for 2 people (1 boy, 1 girl) to get into final round.

Agnipariksha - Final round of 12 people (6 B,6 G). Public will vote every week for their favorites. The one with least votes will be out. Goes on until one winner remains.

That's a very clear and concise description of the format of the show.

Actually, its a big fault on the part of the show, that they do NOT describe the rules clearly at the beginning. They shouldn't assume that everyone has watched C2005 and knows what they're talking about when they throw these names around. Some people in my family don't watch the show anymore because they are so confused by the format. I think its a real shame that they loose viewership because of such reasons.

Well I am still getting lost with all the ins and outs of the show.

They dont explain what's going on, dont show any recaps of who is in and who is out....

IS there a chart of how is in and out from each gharana?
Who took their place etc?
Who got what points etc?

Not that it matters much, but seriously...why cant they show that in every programme on the screen so that the viewers know exactly whats going on.
