It was Baba Ji's choice and he killed chances of a better talent in Shrestha.
Shrestha's voice suits vast number of Indian movies unlike Sakeena or Shakira or Madam Mauli ?

it was not fair to keep her and let somebody else, this is not a learning stage it's a competetion, giving one person a chance means the other has to go which is not fiar at all 😡

shreshtha had no range, husky voice so limited tonal quality. mauli has range and great range, terrific falsetto.. she rocks.. and she might eventually win the competition... 😊

as HR says, she will be a good playback singer, she can be taught while singing as she has great range, but yesterday she didn't sing good at all, so it's just about yesterday, that doesn't mean that she is not good😊

I think they are choosing specific singers to make one big group (finalists).... whoever doesn't fit to that group is going out...

Of course she is good and I will go and buy her CD's as well but mauli is better than her thats all I feel

Mauli is exceptional in the genre like Maiya Maiya. However she is average in other type of songs. She has a voice suited for specific songs.

Now Anandji's decision was obviously controversial as this is not a popularity competition but singing competition, and if they are looking for popularity then why make these budding singers sing in front of so many people and work so hard, if ultimately they will be drowned by other competitors popularity. We don't need these experts than to do that. For that we have public voting.

On a side note, the Lady (Some relative of Mauli) was really hilarious. I am not sure why SGMP showed her so frequently, and the dance was simply attrocious. It is ok for her to dance, but someone sitting in the editing room of SGMP should have edited out those bad looking moves by her and the old man dancing. :-)
