The fact that the contract had been drawn out shows that it was done in careful consideration. And if you think others who at the spur of the moment WHILE their "participants get booted", randomly and incoherently spurt out "YOU'RE SINGING FOR MEEEE IN MY NEXT SUPER DUPER HIT ALBUM" is the same thing then fine. Have fun

Your main point was that the others do it for publicity, while VS have no reason to do it for publicity. You haven't given any logical reason or proof as to why VS are non-publicity and the others are publicity craving. Until you can do that, I will consider your argument as biased and will take it with a pinch of salt.

2. "Iske ghar me ROTI aayegee"- screaming drama.. and mocking asha "i love u , i love u, i love you"

3. "Janta ko decide karne do.. fine print- I hope they want the US gal still in and running MM 😉"

4. "Tu wada pao ka stall lagaa" - ID the greatest

5. "****" ID again- some suggestive comment at Koyal after her hot but failed number

Now who is publicising themselves and who is publicising their contestants along with them? Publicity is not bad.. Advertising would not have been multibillion dollar industry in every country.
THE CLASS vs CRASS defines who is who 😊.
VS are VS for being very special and sensible.

Mermaid, this topic was dealing with mentors offering contestants chances to sing - and whether those were done for publicity or not. Your points are completely off topic. I will debate these issues with you some other time, on some other topic. I don't want to divert from the topic here.

well- so please enlighten me who else got a record label and his / her mentor being bashed for yearning for publicity. I have clearly missed that part and will edit my post then.
They were criticized for all the above.

The Publicity point was a diversion to the actual post as well.. It was about Hit hai to Fit Hai 😉. If that is extended to publicity talk, and then further comarison with other mentors.. then it can be further extended into cheap publicity by other mentors talk.. as far deviating for the article, we are both guilty then. 😆

The issue here was clearly comparison of VS announcing about giving chances to their singers versus other mentors announcing about giving chances to their singers. The insinuation seemed to be that just because VS had thought about it before announcing it, they were not seeking publicity, while the others who announced it on the spur of the moment were seeking pulicity (never mind the fact that both sides had announced it openly). That argument seemed absurd to me.

Since you have clearly missed that part - here it is:

Also, the way they said it sounded like they had given it a thought and not like others who do it in spur of the moment or for publicity

As for the comments of mentors criticizing contestants, that's not the issue here at all. Completely off topic. Here the issue is about giving chances - for publicity or not.

The issue is still dealing with VS' offer. That is what this topic is about. We're not talking about Himesh's Rotis and and Koyal and all. We're simply comparing VS' mode of giving the offer versus the other mentors' mode. Very much on topic.

Well, this is a Megan's valid comment at the mentors who keep making statements like " you'll sing for me " and people clap .... without actually going ahead getting ready to sign the papers then and there. her comment was about the spur-of the moment promises made to Musarrat for eg.

and u asked her to compare VS with other mentors, which I picked 😉 and showed why they stand out. and compared and contasted their comments and other mentors' comments for boosting confidence😉
- ur quote below.

Precisely my point. Now apply it to the other mentors. Why would THEY want publicity? Maybe they just wanted to boost the contestants' confidence. Think about that next time before you make a comment like that 😊

still off topic by the logic mentioned above? 😛 i dont think so. Think about what questions you ask before you make a comment like that 😊. I just showed you why they were not quite boosting contestants confidence, since you asked. Wasn't off topic at all :) Din't comment on Mauli's singing / someone's height / someone's cuteness now.. did i 😛

That is why I say one should follow the debate from the start, rather than jumping in mid-way. You saw my question, but didn't see what my question was relating to (or you did see it and conveniently ignored it).

Let me post the whole thing - Aphro's comment and my response to it:

Now you see, Aphro says why would VS want publicity? They are simply offering a chance to the contestants to boost their performance, and to motivate others to perform better.

I simply said - yes. Apply that same argument to all the mentors. Why would they want publicity by offering chances to singers? They want to offer chances to bosst their performance.

Note - the issue still is on track - relating to mentors giving contestants chances. When I asked about publicity - I wasn't talking about publicity in various ways - whether by insulting contestants, singing songs, doing movies, or giving insulting interviews. I was only talking in context of offering them a chance. Same for boosting confidence - again within the context of offering chances.

Next time, please keep the context of the conversation in mind. For that, you have to read the whole debate from the start, not join in midway.
