Jadoobhai this time its true. i hav the mail from zee. but its ok. everyone can hav different POV. he is thinking maybe bit more practically that let these boys and girls first make a foothold and then start singing other genre songs too. but i just hope these contestants carry on the practice/riyaaz regularly so that they dnt loose the versatality of their voice.

No Kabhi this time round for a change he is telling the truth. Yes he has spiced up the article but the major news part is true. For Telly Buzz we are in direct contact with many from the show and also Zee. They had already informed about this earlier.

I did not say its completely wrong.... but the heading is wrong.... and spice is wrong....

1. He did not talk against old songs.... He said that the guy wont get work by singing melodious old songs by rafi as no such songs are directed now

2. This happened only with Musarrat and not with other contestants of his gharana.... because Musarrat is really good with sufi... none of other contestants is so good with any one genre.... So it was contestant specific comment and not gharana specific

3. He definitely wants to make the singers as playback singers and he support them.... Tushar was good with the ID song as per my opinion... I have nt seen his Raj kapoor song.... and HR told him to sing his genre song... and was impressed.... He also told him which song he is going to give him for singing... Its true that every person can not sing all genres but that does nt mean he/she cant be playback singer as they might be very good in one specific genre....😊

Why wrong? He is that type of journalist. News items from these entertainment industries are always made spicy. Thats the age old treand something followed the world over.

How do you know about the above two statements. The article is talking about not anything related to that particular episode. Its back stage things that is being told here. They are all quotes by the SRGMP show technicians.

Yes he tries there's no doubt about it. Here I agree completely. He is possibly the only mentor from the old four who have still tried to something for his contestants. Its different that he did not succeed... but fact is he tried. Here he definitely deserves applause.👏

The article does talk about the specific episode.... It says that HR wants his contestants to sing only Sufi/Rock genre of songs..... While HR does nt want anyone else than Mussarrat to sing Sufi....

In the whole Article I did not get even one statement that says HR does not want his contestants (I mean all contestants) to sing old songs and he is against the old songs.... I know that this is general practice of reporters and I did nt say that i did not expect it from SK Jha,..... my only statement was that he at his best in making up the spice😉

There is something called circumstantial evidence😉.... who else in HR gharana has sung even a sufi song leave alone Rahat fateh ali khan and Atif Aslam😉.....

So indirectly they were pointing at Musarrat only....😃

when the theme is for old songs he has to do that.... till then he will try to accommodate his contestants in the genre they are conmfortable with 😆

Basicaslly, the article is generalizing here... taking what happened with one person and applying it to the whole gharana, which doesn't make sense..

Does HR also want Shrestha to sing sufi songs? And will Nirupama Roy sing Atif Aslam songs? 😕
