If II and SRGMP were telecasted at the same time, I'm sure SRGMP would come out well on top.

K serials doesnt air on saturday...

fr SRGMPA TRP is same for fri n sat..so i dun think the k shows makes a difference to it ...coz trp hasnt change fr fri n sat..

Well it hasn't changed because people who watched soaps on Friday are not suddenly going to switch over and watch a one-off SRGMP episode on Saturday. In order to watch any show, especially a reality show, you need to consistently follow it. Based on your personal preferences and demographics, and those of other people in your family, you make a decision to watch either the soap or the musical show. You don't say - today I'll watch this, and tomorrow I'll watch that. It doesn't work that way.

In fact, the similar ratings on Friday and Saturday show that SRGMP has a loyal group of fans who consistently watch the show both days. As for the people who watched the Star Plus soaps on Friday, they will also probably watch whatever show comes on Star Plus on Saturday at that time.

Like I'd mentioned in an earlier thread, people are loyal to a specific channel for a specific time-frame. They don't usually mix and match. This would come in useful for VoI, because it is taking the slot of the popular soaps that so many people already watch. And since people find it hard to break a habit, they may continue to watch VoI at that time - for the first couple of weeks, at least.

Well - I think people usually do, when they have a choice of channels..😳 Like I watch Virudhh on Sony, and musical shows on whatever channel it comes (will watch Star from now on 😛), Nach Baliye or Laughter Challenge (at times😳) on Star One, news on NDTV and so on.. Depends on what is offered and what you want to see...

As for the TRP, I do think - what you prefer and the quality of programming matters a lot.. so from today onwards, if the viewer gets to see a better musical show on Star, there is all possibility that they will choose that over something else..
