Maa Tujhe Salaam:Happy Mother’s day

I feel the most important person on earth is a Mother. She cannot claim the honor of having building the Taj Mahal. She need not. She has built something more magnificent than any other such Monuments - a dwelling for an immortal soul, the tiny perfection of her baby's body.

The angels have not been blessed with such grace. They cannot share in God's creative miracle to bring new saints to heaven. Only a human Mother can. Mothers are closer to God the Creator than any other creature. God joins forces with Mothers in performing this act of creation.

What on God's good earth is more glorious than this Mother!!!

Mothers are curious things,
And, as follows, not quite what they seem.
They yell when they're angry.
They cry when they're sad.
They fret when they're troubled.
They laugh when they're glad.
They're women, these mothers,
And thus, Human Beings.
Not robots, or Martians,
Or strange unknown things.
And like Human Beings,
They need happiness, warmth, and fun.
And like Human Beings,
What they need most is love.

And here's my own wish for my Mother. This is dedicated and written for the most wonderful woman in the world. I would die for her, lie for her and do anything to make her happy. She made me into whom I am today and I love her with every part of my being.

As I think back to when I was small,
I remember you would catch from every fall.
For every little sting,
You would be there to put me under your wing.

You taught me to tie my laces,
Even tried to put me on braces.
You went as far as to break up a fight,
To plugging in my night light.
Thinking of that one day you would die,
You would lay in my bed as I cry.

As I grew into a teenager,
You still treated me like a baby in a manger.
When I went out at night,
I would have to check-in to tell you I was alright.

I have done things I have never thought I would do,
Every day I learnt something new.
To my God, country, and family I am forever true,
If I am one of the proud, one of the few,
Its All because of you.
