Mentors Thread Round 7 -Groovy MD’s Round

Welcome to the Round 7- Mentor's Topic !!!

The theme for this round is -Songs of Groovy Music Directors- R D Burman and A R Rehman.Partcipants will have to sing songs of either of these two MD's, in this round.

There is no change in the rules. All your entries should be submitted to your respective mentors on time so that he or she can post the songs here on the last day of Round 7 submission by the deadline. The result of Round 6 will be announced AFTER the songs of Round 7 are posted. The ones who are eliminated, their songs will not be sent to the judges. And if for any reason the last date gets extended then the results will also be posted on that extended last date.

Mentors are requested that they please post here if any of their contestant is going to take the wild card entry.

Submission for Round 7 : 28th April,until 12 (MIDNIGHT,PT North America)

Round 7 theme : Numbers of Groovy MD's- RD Burman or AR Rahman

this is for the mentors. They are being informed that after the 8th round no wild card entries will be allowed. and also as decided earlier if any wild card entrant gets eliminated in a round then in that round three contestants will get eliminated.

For everyones benefit i am again posting the future remaining round list.

Seventh Round

Theme – Groovy MD Numbers (Pancham or Rehman songs)

Singers who will go out in this round – 2

Eighth Round

Theme – Patriotic / Inspirational / Motivational songs

Singers who will go out in this round – 2

Ninth Round

Theme – Songs from the Golden Era (60s and 70s)

But this round will be judges choice round. The judges will be giving the choice of song for the contestants. The songs will be posted as soon as the round starts. Though will try our best to get it done maybe sometime inbetween the 8th round.

Tenth Round

Theme – Indipop / Private albums

In this round the 6 (or more) contestants will have to sing two songs. One of their own choice while the other as provided by the co-ordinating team. The co-ordinating team will provide a common song for all the contestants. All the contestants in this round will have to sing the same song.

Semi-finals Round

Number of singers participating – 5

Theme – Folk / Sufi / Rural based songs

Theme – Theme – Ghazals

Grand Finale

Theme – Classical / Semi-classical (one song)

Theme – Masti / Happy songs

Winner will be selected

This is to inform that for the sixth round we will be having three eliminations.. As we move ahead of rounds, we will keep you informed as to how many contestants will be eliminated..

I have not received any songs so far. Can the date be extended to May 3? One contestant in my gharana has been made MOTW for some reason and this person will probably not be able to answer questions and sing a song at the same time. I am myself going out of town for next 4 days. So the extension will be most welcome.

Ok fine then dates are being extended till May 3rd.

Due to some more problems in getting the results on time the dates are being further extended for 2 days. 5th is the last date for the submission of the songs.
